S’Espartar — Restaurant in Sant Josep de sa Talaia

Absolutely delicious Spanish food with massive portions and beautiful quality. We started with the octopus and a tomato salad (off-menu) both were incredible. Then my sister and I shared the sea bass for two, which the waiter cut up for us at the table. It was huge, way too much for the two of us, but so good we couldn’t stop eating.

The potatoes were honestly some of the best I’ve ever had, perfectly crispy and salty and full of flavour. Our friends had steaks that looked amazing too. We also had a lovely white wine and finished with gelato and vodka mix? 👌👌

As a traveler to the island, I was initially pleased with my experience at the restaurant. The quality of the food was excellent. However, our satisfaction took a hit when we received the bill. We had ordered a dish for two, which was priced at 42€ on the menu, but to our astonishment, we were charged 84€. When we inquired, we were informed that even if you order just one dish, the minimum charge is for two. The service was really lovely, very friendly and attentive without being over the top or too formal.

Our dishes were absolutely beautiful! I had the mixed grill- wow!! A stunning feast! And my partner had the octopus which I tried and it was cooked and flavoured so beautifully. Both dishes were simply wonderful.

Our table had views of the sea and the pine forests, it’s in such a peaceful setting despite being just by the road side.
