I only bought some crisps and drinks, my school age daughter became unwell on the walk there, I asked the staff for help getting a taxi. The younger man who had served the drinks was the only staff member with any pleasantness to him - nobody else smiled at all and I had to be very insistent before Tony, the older man they all deferred to, finally allowed me to call a taxi from his phone as mine had no service. He refused to ask the taxi to come for a sick child though for me or tell them the address so they put the phone down on me, he didn't care.
As a business owner myself I would have bent over backwards for any customer, especially one who had become unwell - and a child?! A child with disabilities?! There were about 8 cars parked at the venue and not one belonged to customers unfortunately, all must have belonged to staff and they watched me struggle with a sick girl who was going to have to walk miles to get medical help and they didn't care one bit. In their place I would never let this happen. Somebody else mentioned prejudice and I believe this is the case as they smiled and chatted with others in Spanish but were hostile to English, though I spoke some Spanish. Not enough though.
I did try asking which direction was shorter to walk for help but 'Tony' glared at me, others ignored me. We went to leave and I was upset by their whole attitude. As we went to go the way we came a lady did catch my attention to point which way was which but both were a long walk. I thanked her. I managed to get my daughter to Sa Coma but it did take a long time with a lot of rest stops and she suffered a lot.
I'm appalled that a business would treat a sick child this way. I just am. The place looks nice enough, I wouldn't say it's worth the walk!! But the miserable and sour people make it awful. I would have personally gotten any person that was unwell to safety in their place, but I'm a decent human being. It wasn't busy at all, even without it being my business and a customer I would help a stranger in need. The owner of this bar would let you die if you collapsed, I...
Read moreWe walked up from Cala Millor for drinks before sunset - opening times said it was open until 6.30pm but we arrived at 6.15 and it was all shut up! Not sure if they were not open or just decided to close early - not sure why they'd do this as there were plenty of people around who would certainly have bought drinks and sat to enjoy the sunset! Disappointed we just walked back again - obviously unreliable so double check before making a special trip. Also, signs indicate no cars are allowed but actually it is legal to drive there (although road is...
