Poor experience from beginning to end. We arrived 10 minutes early for our 15:00 ride. The staff were there sitting at the tables eating/drinking and no one came up to us even though we were clearly there for the scheduled excursion. We asked one of the servers working at the restaurant and she alerted the manager(?) who then assisted us with payment. He did not welcome us or sag hello and was general unfriendly and not helpful while we payed him 100 euro for 2 people. We were told there are 3 different groups for the tour based on your riding experience. I was experienced and my partner a very beginner. Then they gave us helmets and walked us to the horses. We met 3 more people, 2 of them when on the ride with us, and still no one gave us their name. Then the 3rd person looked us up and down and then pointed at which horse we were to ride. Again, they didn’t even give us the names of our horses! Fortunately, the horses names were listed on their nametags so if you can read Spanish, you can figure out the name of your horse. Once situated, the 2 unnamed guides pointed at a field and we started walking that way.
The ride is advertised as a 2 hour ride on the beach and in actuality the ride consists of walking through roads, fields, and then a little bit of a small trail. You walk NEAR the beach for about 3 minutes and then they lead you away to the exact same trail you walked in on. Nothing new to see.
Then, as I was an experienced rider, they asked if I would like to walk or gallop. I told them, sure, to see what they would offer to me. At the next relatively straight and open portion of the trail, me and the guide held our horses back while all of the other horses walked ahead. Once there was enough space the guide signaled for his horse to go and my horse took off after him. Of course, all the horses wanted to do was catch up to their friends after being left behind. Incredibly bad practice and training to teach these horses to gallop home after being left behind from their friends. The rest of the ride consisted of that for me whenever there was an opportunity and the rest of the group walked home on the same trail we went in on.
They didn’t once stop for a photo, they didn’t offer to take a photo, they didn’t chat with us at all on the trail, they didn’t ask for our names or where we were from. And they all spoke perfect English.
All in all, an extremely poor experience. It was not authentic whatsoever, not scenic and false advertising saying it is a “beach ride”. Do not...
Read moreHorrible experience. We went as a family of 9 for the dinner BBQ evening ride. The timeline of the event was not family friendly. Says to arrive at 1700…nothing started until 1800 and the “farm” wasn’t more than a 10 min of things to really see the animals; there were no monkeys or much of anything to see. Gettin on the horses was chaotic as I had to leave my 7 year old standing by himself because they put the rest of us on horses first and it seemed there was not enough staff for how many people and horse there were. All during the ride the staff were yelling at some of my family who were on the more experienced rider group. My husband and I went with our youngest on the beginner group and we weren’t even all together in the group. I was 6-7 horses back from them with others in our group being being 8-10 horses behind me. If my horse wasn’t touching the end of the horse in front of me the staff was yelling at me to hurry up. Then when we got back one of the people in our group was dropped off the horse because the staff was trying to help when she asked to do it herself. She was hurt, seeing stars and dizzy…the staff kept asking if she was ok to which she said no, but they didn’t help her get back to the main area or anything; we had to. During the ride the people in the wagon were getting free sangria, but when we got back we couldn’t even get water unless we paid 5€ for it at the bar. Dinner wouldn’t start for an hour to hour and a half after the ride. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else for dinner. One bc we had been on a hot dusty trial ride (which we expected it to be) but then had nothing to eat or drink for a very long time, and two because the dropped rider in our group needed to get some attention. Two in or group stayed to see how it went. They spent a long time in line get food that was just ok. They felt it was a lot of waiting around for things to happen. They never saw a mechanical bull and felt the horse show was a let down. I would never recommend this event to anyone at this establishment. We tried to talk to the office staff about our experience with the head person saying “we can’t give everything away for free” when I asked why water was free before the ride but we couldn’t get any after the ride and yet sangria was free. After discussing for 20 min we gave up trying to talk with them and caught up with the part of our...
Read moreReally wasnt sure about this place. We chose the wagon option and had to sit around waiting for all the horse riders to get sorted out. I had read reviews were it said the horses were badly treated. It was a warm day and I didnt see any water for them. When the journey began we had a fantastic staff member with us who played guitar and sang. Fantastic guy from Brazil. We travelled through country, one dry field looking the same as the next, and arrive at an empty space where we had to wait 25 mins for the horse riders to come back. Just as we were about to take off a girl with the help of an employee came limping out of the bushes. She had taken a nasty fall. Her partner and those on the wagon were left to look after her with no employee other than the driver present. The poor girl was in agony. When we arrived back I had to ask for a car to be brought down for her as she could barely walk. When we arrived back everyone took seats for dinner only to be told to go watch the mechanical bull riding. So trying to get a good seat is pointless and don't think you get the comfy seats - no you pay all the money and have to sit on benches for the next 4 hours and they are thin and painful! As for the BBQ well they brought out chicken which everyone ate as it was a further 10 minutes before salad arrive then 8 minutes later baked potato, some asked for butter which arrived 15mins later with pork chops. Then 25 mins later we got a tub of ice cream. Talk about dragging dinner out! An older man perhaps the owner was getting his photo with some young girls - the winner of the bull riding. Her present - to be groped by this dirty old man infront of everyone! The employee with him, a young girl, was embarassed but said he's single - well I'm not surprised!! Then the show started horses, a flamigo dancer, yes one, and then a little pony. They used whips and the adult horse had legions on its legs. Jumping running about on a stone surface - not good! We were told we would be shown how to line dance - one song that was it. Then it's over. 2hrs on a coach and in at 3am. Overall a different thing to do for the night but...
