La Torre — Restaurant in Santanyí

Extremely disrespectful owner and waiter. The owner who runs the bar basically ignored us for 10 minutes while we waited just to ask if there was space, telling us to wait. Then, the waitress, on a very cold tone told us there was no space (which is fine) and basically told us to leave, but the way they communicated with us was honestly not ok and made us uncomfortable, especially since we were very friendly to them. Also, the ice cream was way too expensive for what it was, but we got some just to have something to eat. They are the only food place around, so they don’t care about giving bad service, because they know people will come anyway. I don’t recommend you give them...

This was a great little stop for us before traveling to a local beach. My preteen kid is extremely picky, so I opted to share a ham & cheese sandwich. Neither of us really likes ham, but the bread was so delicious that we both forgot we were eating it. The bread was heavenly, and honestly, the warmed ham & cheese was perfect with it. There wasn't too much meat or cheese, which made it even more palatable. The only negative on this place was they allowed smoking inside, making it quite intolerable for us, but we enjoyed the terrace...

I can’t comment on the food at this restaurant, but the service definitely needs improvement. As a foreign tourist, I waited at my table for 20 minutes while the staff focused on serving their acquaintances. Even when I went to the counter and tried to order, I was repeatedly ignored. After sitting there for 30 minutes in total, I decided to leave. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice, and the air conditioning is comfortable, but for visitors who don’t speak Spanish, the dining experience might not be very pleasant....
