Fantastic little place. Very casual and rustic, on the main road in Tamaimo. Restaurant was recommended by a local taxi driver.

Specialty are arepas, the Latin American fried white corn cakes. These are filled with a variety of options - juicy braised beef (mechada), chicken salad, thick slices of local goats cheese (try with Guyana on top, a sweet slicable jelly - think goats cheese and cranberry, but the Latino/ Canaria version).

Tuesday/ Thursday/ Saturday pork roast with crackling available as filling for arepas or on a plate.

Really delicious cortados, cafe bonbom and barraquito.

Service friendly, but rustic. Lots of local workers as guests, friendly family atmosphere. Prices really affordable - a lunch for...

We talked to the waiter for 5 minutes that we want to eat something vegetarian. We decided to order one portion of fries with meat (my partner is not vegetarian as me) and one portion without meat. After about 15 minutes we got two identical portions of fries with meat. The waiter apologized for the mistake and came back after about 5 minutes with a new portion of fries. The fries were cold, I'm pretty sure that I find pieces of meat inside. The fries were not homemade, covered with a very large portion of store-bought sauces. Tinto de verano was also not homemade. The arapes had no flavor at all. Everything was dripping with oil. We don't recommend it, we ran away from...

Our tour guide told us that many inhabitants of Tamaimo originally came from Venezuela and that they serve good arepas there. Therefore, we put extra effort to come here and try the bocadillo and arepas this place offers and it was very much worth it!

This is a very local place where tourists typically don't go and it allows you to calm down, sit back and simply relax and enjoy the sun and good food as the locals do here. I highly recommend going here as it is a unique way to see how the locals of Tenerife live and...

Wish I could give more since it seemed like a nice place which locals love, but we got food poisoning after dinner there and spent the whole next day in bed, we suspect the mechada filling that had gone bad. Were planning to order the pata for the next day which obviously didn't happen (but you should order in advance if you go for it).
