El D'iban de Somiedo — Restaurant in Somiedo

We stayed in La Peral and were lucky to have this lovely little restaurant on our doorstep. We booked 2 days in advance to eat lunch outside under the canopy. Unfortunately the weather changed and it was raining on the day, so we ate inside instead. It is still very pleasant inside. The lady owner speaks good English and is happy to help you choose., which is very helpful for those who are not familiar with Spanish cuisine. We are mostly vegitarian normally but happy to eat meat on special occasions and the menu is predominantly meat dishes. We had the Capocho and the Lomo Adobado. Both were freshly cooked and were delicious. The homemade dessert was also tasty. Very good value too. The place is very clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. It's a great authentic Somiedo experience in every respect and it has good atmosphere shared with other tourists and local farmers and builders alike. Highly...

This place is really handy for the Le Peral Mirador which is an excellent place for viewing wildlife on the surrounding hills.

It's a lovely wee find of a place. Its lovingly decorated inside. The owners are really friendly and welcoming, coffee and cake is excellent, food looks good and it's a place to plan a stop if driving through the valley.

We'll be back.... probably...
