Maybe the language barrier, but you have to figure out for yourself that the starters are massive and can be shared, but the mains are small, except for the specials which are huge- A weird blend of rustic and fine dining. The scallops were nice enough as were the other starters. On the mains there was a weird tendency to stack the food unnecessary in the middle of the plate with no thought as to why? Maybe to cover the sorry amount of vegetables hidden under there.. The skin on the turbot had not been cooked and was soggy, maybe remove that next time if it's not pleasant to eat. On the presumtion my wife would like her steak rare, that was served on top of the chips, leaving them to go soggy before they had hit the table. The cheesecake was nice but not like the traditional Basque style that I have grown to know and love. Overall not worth the money

Tourists, beware — we were scammed. We visited this restaurant twice. The first time, the food was genuinely good, so we decided to return. Big mistake. We ordered the “fish of the day” 8with no price indication). It was brought out already portioned across two plates, with a third plate showing just the bones. We never saw the whole fish, and something felt off. Then came the bill: €130 for just the fish (see picture) It was outrageous. We suspect they overcharged us simply because we were tourists — likely three times what a local would pay — and it's possible the rest of the fish was served to other guests. Yes, the food is ok, but the experience left a really bad taste. Dishonest and disappointing behavior. We paid, but we want to warn others: think twice before eating here.

The weather wasn't great so it was great for us as no one was there. The views from the bar below and the restaurant are impressive. Recommend either a drink there or a meal in the restaurant. The Entrecote was better than the one we had in the restaurant beside. The solomillo was very tender. The portions are on the smaller side so maybe order 2 mains and a starter if you are with your other half. Drinks are not bad value. Service was good and quick. Parking available beside however might get very busy so come early. Bring your swim gear for dip before or after the beach is a 5 min walk from the restaurant.

We were recommended to come here and this was our last night on holidays. The food was lovely and we ordered the fish of the day. However, we hadn't been told that the fish was sold by weight. We ordered the seabass on the recommendation of the staff. There were no prices on the menu, and when we received the bill, the fish was €90. We were really taken aback at the price. This is by far the most expensive restaurant we have eaten in the entire month we've been in Northern Spain. The service was very good and the staff were lovely, but the prices are extortionate. We had visited a number of markets across Northern Spain and most recently in Bilbao, and nowhere did we see seabass being sold for €75 per kilo.

Also, there appeared to be a nightclub downstairs, and the music was extremely loud and quite...
