Stumbled across El Rancho by accident while searching for a tapas restaurant around Tarifa. Couldnt find a place to park in Tarifa so we googled the nearest place to eat which was El Rancho. The place looked deserted but we tried it anyway. We speak very little Spanish and the waiter spoke 'poco' English but this wasnt an issue. A very warm welcome and English menus. All the customers were Spanish which for us was a good sign. 4 meals were ordered 2 x pork mains 1 Fried Calamaris and a Steak. All meals were amazing and big portions! The steak was possibly the biggest steak ive ever eaten and cooked (med/rare) to perfection. 4 mains 2 cokes 3 beers Bread to start €64 + 10% €10 tip

Brilliant place to eat, very friendly and i will talk about that...

Let’s just say omg. I was not expecting anything here, just trying to find a place open when we got into Tarifa. I got a burger, and my girl got a sirloin. Let’s just say I wish I knew how good their meat was I would’ve ordered a steak. My burger was juicy and falling apart in a good way. The meat was so tender. The ingredients were so fresh. My mouth waters thinking about it. What I was more impressed with was my girls sirloin. She gets her steaks well done. I know blasphemy. But the flavor, the tenderness, on a well done sirloin, I did not even think possible. I could only imagine what a better cut would’ve been. I’d go back to Tarifa just to come here again. It...

On arrival felt unwelcome, maybe because we don't speak Spanish but we are on holiday! Staff miserable, didn't get the steak ordered even though we pointed to it in the cool fridge. Didn't ask how I liked my steak which is medium rare, it was like an uncooked cow on my plate. The waitress threw our dinner down, wanted to leave then. But too polite to do that. Then waiter decided to clean a fan next to me, dust went in my cow maybe it added flavour! Not ever going...

Muy buen restaurante especializado en carnes, desde la de retinto a Wagyu, pasando por vaca Palurda y Frisona. También cerdo ibérico. Excelente servicio, siempre atento y agradable.
