Restaurant La Joya — Restaurant in Tarragona

I'm saying this as a Moroccan, I ordered a tajine with chicken and olives, they didn't serve me a tajine, just a dish with a tiny half chicken and fries, the chicken was tasteless and dry. my family asked for water, and the waiter forgot to bring it. They ordered a drink, he served a different drink. They ordered a wrapper kebab which they found disgusting and they ordered 2 paellas, they said it wasn't that good.. it's disappointing to be honest. The only good thing is the atmosphere, the restaurant looks almost luxurious.

EDIT after the reply: please don't lie, you said that all drinks were not available except a few, you didn't mention any price at all, my sister then asked if there are any other flavours, you said that you have none of that. you proposed avocado drink, she said ok, you gave her a whole different drink, of course she's gonna be pissed and send it back, what did you expect?

~it wasn't kebab wraps, it was chicken but my points stands, I even got to try it too and I agree, it wasn't tasting good in all honesty, but the fries were good.

~ I know this is a restaurant and not a bar, but I understand why your "high-end" restaurant make a cheap menu, but no offense, it should be even cheaper...

Ordered a mixed plate, which had a little too much carbs on the plate for me, but I am also a small guy. But fries, noodles, rice and bread on the same plate was just too much.

The seasoning of the meat was great, the sides lacked seasoning but salt, oil and vinegar are on each table so you can adjust to your taste.

The service was super friendly and the value for money was a steal. 7.50 for a mixed plate that I couldnt even finish and the seasoning of the meat was excellent.

Would recommend cutting the sides a little bit but the price doesnt need to be lowered for that.

Descubrimiento de restaurante 100% comida casera marroquí halal. Fue una experiencia muy auténtica y el local estaba lleno de gente local de esta cultura comiendo en familia, lo que ya daba buena sensación. También destacar la bonita y ordenada vitrina que llama la atención al pasar por delante, llena de todo tipo de ensalada fresca, carnes marinadas listas para poner en la parrilla, acompañamientos y platos preparados de carne y pescado. El cuscús solo lo preparan los viernes, nos quedamos con ganas de probarlo.

Los precios son súper asequibles y sorprendentemente baratos, ya que es comida casera y casi toda está ya preparada con antelación. Nosotros pedimos 3 raciones con sus respectivos acompañamientos (cada una 6€): el pollo al horno especiado muy jugoso y buen sabor, el pescado del día hecho al horno abierto por la mitad acompañado con patatas y verduras horneadas, y la ternera con ciruelas que se deshacía y muy rico el contraste del dulce. Elegimos los acompañamientos a nuestro gusto: ensalada, pimiento fresco, tomate y pepino, arroz con pasas, ensalada de pasta... e incluía pan de pita muy bueno!!! También se podía elegir patatas fritas pero no fue nuestro caso. Como punto negativo diría que algunos platos estaban un poco grasos con exceso de aceite, creo que podrían mejorar en eso.

El servicio fue un poco caótico ya que solo hay un cocinero y un camarero, pero fueron muy amables y en todo momento serviciales. Aceptaban solo pago en efectivo. Los platos los recalientan en un pequeño microondas por lo que tardaron un poco en servirnos, disponen también de freidora y parrilla donde preparan sobretodo kebab y bocadillos.
