Itâs almost tradition now to pass by Zurita after arriving in Gran Canaria. The restaurant is right next to the airport, on a cute little beach. I am always welcomed by amazing fish, grilled cheese with honey (my recommendation besides all the amazing fish dishes), a cañita or a tropi limon, and by a beautiful view. Card payment is possible, and for desert you can grab a nice variety of ice cream walking back to your car. Overall, I love this little village, the restaurant, and the location so close to the airport - observing the planes leaving the island. Note: this is a place where planes pass by. If you like to see aircraftâs heading out, this might be your favorite spot on the island. If you donât like the noise, itâs nothing for you. Also, make sure you come early, or with a reservation. This place gets crowded during peak hours, and you might have to wait. But -...
Read moreOnly giving 2 starts because the location is really nice by the beach. Overall experience was very disappointing, the waitress was a bit disrespectful (I think because we were tourist speaking English only) I asked if she has a menu and then she answered not and then she gave me the menu, almost like laughing in my face, not too sure what was that reaction from her, not to mention she did switch talking to a Spanish couple and ignored me while still standing there to ask a question. After that she told me and my friend to change the table as that table is not for 2 people but 4 (when half of the restaurant was empty). She was okay with Spanish people I think she did not quite enjoy tourists. Following on food, was very average and little taste. I would not recommend going there for food at all, only if u want to have a drink and...
Read moreThis was the first restaurant we visited during our trip to Gran Canaria. Its a short distance from the airport so you can watch planes taking off while having lunch!.Although it wasn't easy to park there as the restaurant is on the beach in what appeared as a built up area, we somehow managed and found parking.
Service was just ok as the servers didn't speak English, but this is a local restaurant and we accepted that fact.Problem was there were a lot of guests and not enough servers, resulting in delays and sometimes hard to reach the server to order something.
Food was ok but we certainly tried better tapas during our stay in Canaries.
Worth a visit but,for local experience but...
