Restaurante - Hotel Rural El Salero — Restaurant in Torija

This hotel is small & family run, & the daughter speaks very good English. On the night we stayed we were the only guests in & we were made to feel so welcome & part of the family. Unfortunately as our stay was mid week we were unable to have an evening meal, as they only serve meals at lunch time & weekends, but we did get food from a local bar in the village, however breakfast was amazing, hot bread, ham, fruit, tomatoes, cakes, jam & the most wonderful honey This hotel took 2 years to renovate, & has only been open 2 years. The room we were in had been kept in character but had a very modern bathroom & was beautifully clean. As we opened the wardrobe door there was a lovely smell of lavender. The walls & doors of the building are so thick which makes it very cool & quiet. We chose this Hotel in our last Valentine's weekend and it was just perfect. We had a beautiful suite, very comfortable, incredibly clean, with views of the castle and totally silent in spite of being between the highway and a small road.||The owners are a family as charming as their Hotel. ||We had dinner in their restaurant in a table in front of the fireplace, and the breakfast was very good as well. Buscando para el camino de vuelta un pueblo bonito donde parar leí q Torija es uno de los más bonitos de Guadalajara y en él encontré este restaurante con muy buenas críticas perfecto para comer . No nos ha defraudado

local , a pie de carretera lo cual le resta cierto encanto. Es hotel rural . Comedor muy castellano . Amplio . Está bien pero sin encandilar. 7/10

Carta : una carta bastante seductora, al menos para mi , y completa . Debe de ser estacional pq ponía "de Invierno " . Menú de fin de semana y Menú "especial " para 2. 8/10

Cocina española con toque de modernidad. Lo q hemos pedido estaba todo bastante rico . 📷 ensalada de queso de cabra con cebolla caramelizada, la clásica pero en lugar de frutos secos, maíz 8/10 📷 parrillada de verduras con jamón de pato , muy completa : tomate, espárragos, cebolla ,calabaza, berenjena, calabacín, setas, pimiento rojo , verde y de piquillo. Buen punto de la verdura. 8/10 📷 pulpo a la brasa con puré de patatas. Otro clásico bien ejecutado. 8/10 📷 Canelones de solomillo con queso manchego , con tomate casero , muy ricos aq para mi gusto tenían demasiado tomate y se pierde un poco el sabor de la carne ..y mira q estaba bueno el tomate. 📷 tarta de galletas y chocolate de la abuela 😍, q decir de mi tarta favorita. Servicio muy agradables y atentos . Muy buena coordinación , servicio fluido y rápido sin agobiar . Pedimos cafés a la vez q postres y así vino . 9/10
