Restaurante El Gamo — Restaurant in Tragacete

I wish I had read the recent reviews first! We only went because anywhere decent is full. The old guy at the desk is so deaf that we had to shout to get a booking but I read that he's 95. The place was FREEZING and I think most of the food was recently defrosted too, as we could hear the microwave pinging non-stop. The cook took several sit-down breaks during dinner between trips to the freezer (I had a great view of the kitchen) which might explain the slow service for only 4 tables. I feel sorry for the waiter, who did his best, but is obviously inexperienced. Regarding food, we were served a curling, dry salad with almost nothing in it. The soups were at least hot, but not well made. The carrillada had very little meat, but the venison was very tasty. The cheesecake was good, but please do NOT order the awful tiramisu! At least the table wine was decent, we needed it to warm up! To sum up, very expensive for the poor quality of the food. I feel bad for the 2 young staff members who worked hard, but this place needs...

Worst restaurant and food we've ever encountered... All the food except the fries came from the microwave wich you hear bleeping the whole time. The apparently 95 year old owner was not nice at all. The staff was not qualified at all. It felt like we were in a comedy tv sketch show or something. We really have never seen or tasted anything this bad. The wine bottle was pre opened but was verry needed to wash away the distastefull food, wich we ofcourse didnt finish. We got an extra bottle of wine for free to compensate but man.. Dia de visita al nacimiento, todo hasta la bandera y decidimos buscar algún restaurante cercano, en que hora el destino nos llevó a este “restaurante” Comimos 4 personas y un rato mas tarde llegaron unos cuantos amigos que comieron en otro lado y nos reunimos para el cafe. En un principio la camarera tenia malas contestaciones, le pedimos una mesa en la terraza y nos hizo de ponerla nosotros entre los coches aparcados en la puerta. Despues de tomar el café decidimos pasar a que nos cobrase, no nos quería hacer cuentas separadas, decía que nos sacaba el total y nos apañásemos, despues de explicarle, que solo 4 comimos y el resto era solo cafe accecio a regaña dientes con la frase “esque voy a tardar toda la tarde” después de pagar nos fuimos escalonada mente puesto que cada amigo aparco el coche en un sitio de la calle. Nuestra sorpresa fue que con todo cobrado nos reclamo 2 cafes bombon ya pagados y casualmente pasaba la guardia civil por la puerta, en lo que empezo a subir el tono… decidimos pagarlos por no pasar vergüenza, ya que no nos dio tiket de nada después de pagar ni tampoco esperábamos algo asi. Decir que por 2 bocadillos que entre los 2 no era media barra de pan, 2 cafes y 2 cocacolas de bote fueron 21€. Si pueden evitenlo, si no pidan tiket y precio antes de hacer ningun tipo de...
