Oihana Restaurant — Restaurant in Urdazubi/Urdax

I would give negative stars if I could. This was the worst dining experience I can remember. Eat literally anywhere else than here.

The service: once we were eventually seated, our surly waiter begrudgingly came to take our order. I asked if they had any chicken options on their kids menu for our two-year old. He just grunted something like "we only have what's on the menu". Not being able to do substitutions is of course completely understandable, but there's no need to be unpleasant about it.

The wait: it took a good 45 minutes for our starters to come, and then another 45 or so for our mains (and even then, it was only after we flagged someone down to ask where our food was). Starters and entrées were both stone cold. We didn't bother to stay for dessert.

The food: do you like frozen food? There are (without exaggerating) probably 100 items on their menu, which should have been a screaming red flag with regards to the quality of the food served here. The patatas bravas came as a cold, kinda fried, and weirdly soggy pile of potatoes flooded with a flavorless tomato sauce. The ham we ordered for our son (which was clearly just some off-the-shelf lunchmeat, straight out of the package) had a strange greenish slime on it (we did not feed it to him). The fries were cold, limp, and flavorless, and the pork chops weren't fully cooked. Hospitals and school cafeterias both have better food than this.

To be blunt, everything about this place was awful and the people in charge should be ashamed of themselves....

C'est déjà la deuxième fois que nous venons ici. La première fois, nous avons dû attendre au moins une heure pour recevoir nos plats. Nous n'avons reçu que la moitié des plats commandés et avons dû les réclamer à chaque fois pour obtenir ce qui manquait. De plus, la serveuse qui avait débarrassé nos assiettes a fait tomber tout sur moi. Autant dire que c'était vraiment pas cool.

Aujourd'hui, le 20 août 2024, nous avons décidé de retenter notre chance. En entrée, nous avons pris des beignets de crevettes, mais ils n'étaient pas cuits. Les crevettes étaient crues et la pâte n'était pas cuite non plus. Ensuite, nous avons commandé des faux-filets saignants. Cependant, ils étaient quasiment bleus, et encore, c’est un euphémisme : ce n'était pas cuit non plus.

Il est clair que le restaurant a des problèmes de cuisson et n'arrive pas à gérer l'affluence de clients. En conséquence, ils font n'importe quoi, ce qui est vraiment regrettable, car la qualité des produits en elle-même est plutôt correcte. Il vaudrait mieux que le restaurant refuse quelques clients et améliore la qualité de la cuisson et des plats, plutôt que de vouloir accueillir tout le monde et servir des plats mal préparés.

Esta es la segunda vez que venimos aquí. La primera vez, tuvimos que esperar al menos una hora para recibir nuestros platos. Solo nos trajeron la mitad de los platos que pedimos, y tuvimos que reclamarlos cada vez para obtener lo que faltaba. Además, la camarera que recogió nuestros platos dejó caer todo sobre mí. Realmente no fue una buena experiencia.

Hoy, el 20 de agosto de 2024, decidimos darle otra oportunidad. Como entrada, pedimos buñuelos de camarones, pero no estaban cocidos. Los camarones estaban crudos y la masa tampoco estaba cocida. Luego, pedimos entrecot poco hecho, pero nos lo trajeron casi crudo. Y decir crudo es quedarse corto: tampoco estaba cocido.

Está claro que el restaurante tiene problemas con la cocción y no sabe manejar la cantidad de clientes. Como resultado, hacen las cosas de cualquier manera, lo cual es lamentable, porque la calidad de los productos en sí es bastante aceptable. Sería mejor que el restaurante rechazara a algunos clientes y mejorara la calidad de la cocción y la comida, en lugar de querer recibir a todo el mundo y servir platos...

We visited the restaurant on December 29, 2021. First impression was not good, we had to wait over 15 minutes in a dirty table and nobody was interested in serving our table. After I had to stand up and look for a person to talk to and request the service they immediately change to good. Food was delicious, they immediately sent someone and cleaned the table, brought our beverages and where súper responsive. Like I said all the food we got in the table was delicious, 3 adults and 1 kid. All were delighted! The service and the price where great and I would definitely recommend and go...
