Restaurante La Plata Casa Matilde — Restaurant in Vélez-Málaga

We were invited to this restaurant for a special occasion by our friends. The young waiter dropped a full pint of beer over my husband and I. The glass smashed and cut my arm. The young waiter walked away and gave my husband a towel to dry himself. He did not pick up the broken glass or clean the table. We had to use our napkins to soak up the beer. We had to ask for a plaster and fresh napkins. Then we were sent different waiters that lacked basic service skills. IE passing the plates of food to us over the table instead of serving directly to our place setting. We did not receive an apology from the owner who apparently was the waiters father. Point is accidents happen , however good customer service is how you deal with a situation like this. The person paying the bill has used this restaurant before with his family. He always treats the waiters. He was very dissatisfied with the owners attitude and unfortunately none of us would return there again. We were also charged for something we asked for that was not...

I didn’t like the customer care. Despite I called to book a table in advance I think they missed it out and put us in an improvised and bad spot. Smokers everywhere without worrying with children near to their tables, I ate paella tasting cigarettes smoke. They took long time to take the note of the drinks, then the drinks took forever to come. Other tables that were empty were served earlier than us (including the drinks). Do NOT eat here! First they forgot the water we ordered (no problem). Then the food came but they forgot the cutlery (still OK). We had Paella and i think it was the worst food i ever got in any restaurant in any country... felt like they just put in leftovers, from old sausage and meat to some very suspicious mussels. It was so salty, you just couldn't eat it. We left 3/4 (i think it's the first food i ordered that i just could no eat) told the waiter that it was way too salty and he just laughed slightly.
