The two of us are on vacation from Bend, Oregon, USA, cycling across Espana Verde from Bilbao to Santiago and on September 30, 2024, had dinner here at Cafe (cafeteria) Express. Compared to the other establishments in town, this place is friendlier and the food stands out as above grade. And, our first time in weeks of pedaling the bread accompanying the meal was whole wheat. I rather enjoyed the Revuelto Especial, a kind of scrambled egg with asparagus, mushrooms, and shrimp for €11. A nice change of pace with a glass of Albarino at €2.70. Una estrella porque no le puedo poner menos. El servicio deja mucho que DESEAR, después de pedir 3 cosas para cenar y esperar una hora en la mesa, nos fijamos que empiezan servir a las mesas que habían llegado después.
Al decirle al camarero que estábamos esperando y lo que estaba sucediendo, me contesta de manera pasota una serie de excusas y pretextos que no tienen sentido.
Al llegar la cena la mesa llega FRIA, al comérselo al camarero me dice que, que es lo que quiere que haga, que si tienen que volver a hacer otro o que lo calientan ? ..... en serio???? Después de más de UNA HORA POR UN SÁNDWICH VEGETAL LO TRAEN FRIO COMO UN SALMONETE?????
