My wife and I joined life-long family friends for lunch at Meson de Dani in Vigo, Spain this afternoon. Our meal was incredible. Dani, the owner, and his staff provided us wonderful service offering recommendations about which seafood was especially good this day. The food was amazing! For apetizers we had "navajas" or razor clams, "pulpo" or octopus and "cigalas" or crayfish. My main dish was "luritas encebolladas", small squid sautéed with caramelized onions. Read morefrom my point of view as a foreigner, i would say it is a typical spanish restaurant: ambiente is down-to-earth but very charming, service is fast, friendly and provides good advices about meals and drinks.
we tried different house specialties and enjoyed everything, particularly the king crab - try it with a good wine (the service will help deciding!)
a short warning notice: better speak spanish or galician, you wont be very successful with other languages. No problem for us as we came with spanish colleagues.

No preguntamos si tenían menú, simplemente nos fueron diciendo los platos como en todos los lugares...platos por separado...algunos nos parecieron bastante carillos. Yo casi no como carne, no tienen ningún plato adaptado a ello (culpa mía, por no mirar antes) así que pedí una ensalada, 9,50 euros...por una ensalada mixta...pues si me parece carillo...
