We had lunch here yesterday on our way to France. As someone else said, not much choice for vegetarians, but that is a general problem in restaurants in Catalonia. The attendant who greeted us at the door was very helpful and pointed out one or two options of 'platos combinados' and tapas available in the bar. We do eat fish so were able to find a salmon dish on the carta. We were offered a choice of potatoes and vegetables, the chef came and asked us if we wanted the sauce. The service and attention was excellent, as was the meal, and at a very reasonable price for a higher quality restaurant. Considering that there was a high number of clients we felt that we were getting personal attention. Our tour bus stopped here after a long day through Ax Les Thermes and Andorra for a quick drink and rest stop. Spacious restaurant that reminded me of a large travel stop in the U.S. Nothing spectacular inside, but views from around back were interesting. Soy celíaca y buscaba algún sitio con opciones sin gluten y he llamado por teléfono y me han dicho que sin problema.
No hay que desviarse de la carretera y el aparcamiento es muy extenso.
El ambiente es muy tranquilo y de restaurante tradicional, temperatura perfecta.
El personal muy ágil y atento, me ha llamado la atención que Rui sabía el menú perfectamente y me ha dicho en primera mano y con mucha seguridad las opciones que eran Sin gluten (siempre hay un “espera que lo consulto en cocina y te digo”).
Me han hecho pasta sin gluten a la boloñesa y está muy buena, me han traído pan sin gluten que estaba espectacular, hecho perfectamente al horno, con buen sabor y con un resultado crujiente (no todo el mundo lo hace correctamente).
Mi marido que ha tomado menú normal escogió unos macarrones gratinados que según él colocaba en el TOP 2 de toda su vida.
Y de segundo el carrillada (no la he probado porque llevaba gluten) pero me ha dicho que el sabor era espectacular y yo churrasco con patatas al horno.
De postre flan casero y piña muy buena y dulce.
Buenísima calidad precio.
Nos apuntamos el lugar para otra vez que subiendo a Andorra pasemos por aquí.
