Bistró don Manuel — Restaurant in Vilar de Barrio

I don't like to give a bad review for local bars who obviously struggle to stay alive in these small villages. But sadly this place need to improve their attitude to it's (foreign) costumers. The teenage girl serving the bar was there with a sad face and grumpy attitude. Did not pay any attention and played horrible music. The chef served canned vegetables cold. We asked to heat it but he refused... because this is the way to serve it here. The evening ended with an uncomfortable situation which could've been avoided with a little better under standing of the chef. We were also with Spanish people at our table so there was no language misunderstandings. There were things good: the salad and croquetas were nice... it...

La comida estaba buena, sí, atentos también y todo iba bien, muy bien de hecho... Pero de repente pedimos la cuenta.... 30 euros dos menús del día!! Eso marca la caja registradora y me confirma el camarero: "Son 30 euros" dice con seguridad.... Sin embargo, toda su buena voluntad se ve derrumbada al ver un billete de 50. Cuando se lo doy, con el ya en la mano, su seguridad su atención y su bondad se transforman en ambición y ganas de robar. Sus más bajos instintos despiertan. Se va diciendo: "son 34 por las chuletillas". La caja registradora marca otra cosa pero el camarero quiere cobrar más que en Madrid por su menú del día. Una pena. En ese momento, justo en ese momento, te das cuenta que por esos 4 euros te acabas percatando de que sus baños son navegables, sus mesas son tablones mal presentados y no tienen variedad en el menú. Menuda pena me ha dado por la miseria de querer...
