Worst service on the Camino. Mean. Rude. And probably one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever encountered in the world.
I arrived at 12:55PM and asked for a lunch menu. The lady said lunch starts at 1:00PM and walked away. Ok…
My friend (another foreigner) next to me ordered a vegetarian sandwich. She was charged €8. We were surprised. €8 for bread, some lettuce, and some tomatoes. OK. But the guy looks at her and tells her “You enjoy it” in English in a snarky, condescending way.
I then ordered a tortilla and asked how much it cost. The lady said €2.50. The guy then speaks in Spanish to her (they were talking about prices and because she already said €2.50, they couldn’t change it). I understand some Spanish, and it’s disappointing and shocking to hear what they were trying to do.
And the tortilla was frozen cold.
The Camino has been such a beautiful experience. Lots of kindness. But the service here is everything the Camino is not.

Read moreNo lo recomiendo comer allí. Es la tercera vez que acudo al sitio y la verdad que la calidad de la comida esta noche ha sido pésima. Hemos pedido una parrillada de carne para 3 personas y al traernos la comida se puede ver una cantidad adecuada pero de calidad nula, la carne estaba llena de grasa que te hacia que supiese mal por exceso de grasa, chuleta de sajonia, y un picho con 4 trozos de grasa sin carne. La verdad que una auténtica decepción porque el resto de veces el servicio ha sido bueno. Tras comunicarlo a la camarera (la mejor atención del local con sinceridad), nos comunica que va a hablar con los dueños para que vengan a hablar con nosotros. El dueño del local no se atrevía a mirar nuestra mesa, no se atrevía a preguntar el motivo de la queja (asumo que porque era consciente del problema con la comida). Después de que la camarera le insistiese, acudió a nuestra mesa y lejos de preguntar viene a retirar la bandeja con la carne que resultaba ya incomestible y con más prisa de retirarlo que de escuchar el motivo de estar a disgusto con el servicio. A pesar de que no quería atendernos, le comentamos los motivos y se limitó a decir que es lo mismo de siempre, pero sin poder decir que era mentira el exceso de grasa que habia en la carne y que en cocina se ignoró, porque lo veía con sus propios ojos y se fue. No quiso volver a dirigirnos la palabra porque no supo aceptar una crítica de un cliente. La camarera nos trajo la cuenta con un coste de 63.80€ , los precios que ponían en la carta, aun habiendo retirado la mitad de la parrillada de la mesa por los motivos que le comentamos al dueño. Como es lo que pedimos sin saber que la calidad de la comida iba a ser tan mala y la intención del dueño era que nos fuéramos, decidimos abonar la cuenta. Lo peor de la situación es la atención de los dueños. El dueño me preguntó que que tenía que hacer él más allá de decirme "es lo que tenemos", tratando de justificar una carne mala y la dueña que no se atrevió a salir de la cocina se limitó a mirar mal a la mesa e ignorarnos. NO SON FORMAS DE ATENDER NI MUCHO MENOS DIRIGIR UN SITIO. DEMUESTRAN QUE LO ÚLTIMO QUE LES IMPORTA...
Read moreIt was almost to 4pm on Saturday, we were hungry in Camino France way, then there won’t be many restaurants opened on Saturday afternoon. Thought we might buy a bread and eat at hotel room. But even after 4:12 pm, it seemed chefs and waiters were having lunch but accepted to order few foods.
Grateful !!! The waitress explained about desert cakes from local and water had given us warmth emailed. Felt home away home, just before the lunar new year day.
