Spectacular. Set on a beautiful terrace with mountain views, it's a world apart from the hustle and bustle of the busy sea front. I had a preconception that Italian food is a bit dated and all based on pasta, bit this was blown out of the water. We visited on a Sunday and had 2 set menus, one a la carte option. The only pasta dish was an a la carte lasagna, which was apparently fantastic. We started with mussels in Marinera sauce, followed by the roast beef and lamb platter, served with mashed potatoes and separate side dishes of beans and carrots. My mouth is watering as I recollect this. Everything was perfect, from the selection of breads, the Italian wines (available by the glass), the service, the atmosphere, the food... Even the coffee was delicious. Everything, down to the tiniest detail. Will be returning regularly. I've heard that there will be live music over the summer months, which is an added bonus. Amazing value for money, the quality of customer service was really extraordinary. It's a long time since a restaurant impressed...
Read moreOur new favourite italian restaurant in the area. A little gem a tad outside of Jávea. Light ambience with big windows and a terrace in the sun. Inside it was a little noisy with lots of people chatting, but that's the way it is in spain. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. But most importantly: the food was awesome. I had the tagliatelle trufada, which were prepared in a big loaf of cheese which was quite show and tasted great. My wife's risotto was equally phantastic. We've tried pretty much all the better italian restaurants in Dénia, Jávea, Calpe etc. but this food here was hands-down the best. Icing on the cake was the TiramiSu (we got the very last piece before they closed for vacations). Only gripe to mention is that our dishes were the only vegetarian ones. I'd surely wished for more options for our clientele. Highly recommended though, we'll come back soon...
Read moreDelightful meal at another fabulous addition to Javea. Arrived to a lovely warm welcome from Gianpierro and his mother, and felt instantly relaxed in ther comfortable and cosy setting, as it got dark this was even more so with perfect lighting, a great setting with friendly warm service by all the staff.
The food of course matched the setting and service, we had the sumptuous and tasty anti-pasto, which is very fairly priced I must add, followed by some delightful pasta and home made italian desserts. The house special ravioli was amongst best I've ever tried, and the pistachio tiramisu was a delightful reinvention of an Italian classic and absolutely delicious. Traditionalists can still pick the classic if they so want also ;-).
Top it off with a perfectly done Aperol spritz followed by a lovely bottle of wine, and it was a perfect meal, can't wait...
