We stayed in the hostel and dined in the restaurant.
The restaurant downstairs was very popular with the locals. We enjoyed ice cold beer served in frozen clay pots, fab. We selected some tasty tapas from the menu - all delicious. Friendly waitress. The restaurant was not open on the Sunday we were there - and many of the shops and restaurants in the local villages are also closed so be aware! We had to dash to Baza for water and breakfast.
The room was fairly comfortable, slight issue with the shower but great for the price we paid for the room.
Close to cave homes (Guadix and Paulenca) and the Lake Navarin for swimming in the hot springs.

As it had a bar and restaurant, we booked, however we found out they was closed for refurbishment and so couldn't use. Think we was the only one staying in the hotel and didnt see any hotel staff. The man we saw at the entrance we think was part of maintenance, didn't know we was staying but let us in once he saw reservation. Place was away from facilities and as we was travelling around Almeria, found a supermarket on our travels to get some food to take back. Read moreWe arrived at 11.45 am. The room 8 was ready it's was very clean, comfortable twin beds nice bathroom with shower over. We ate and drank in the bar and front terrace, a lovely experience, tapas was included, in the evening we had pizza, my wife had vegetarian, a rarity in rural Spain.... I had the ham, both delicious. We had a very good night sleep, after knocking up room no 7 next door, he had fallen asleep with the TV on full volume.... Lol 😁 to sum up, a budget hotel, friendly, clean, good food, excellent service with smiling...
