Service does not match the price, nor does the food.

We had a reservation for a birthday dinner at a recommendation of a concierge who's made a number of perfect suggestions already, so we were looking forward to a great dinner by the water. We'll tell him not to recommend the place to anyone ever again.

The restaurant caters to both locals and English speaking tourists, so for €100 per person, service is simply unacceptable. Weird detail: we were the only table not offered a basket to keep bags off the ground. The couple next to us moved tables, and the waitress moved the basket to their new table! Service takes a long time, from beginning to end. Other tables next to us came after and left before us, despite ordering practically the same type of food We were given a Spanish language menu, which we struggled with. Once we asked for a suggestion, we were told that everything is good! We had to battle for some suggestion at all, and the only one was the most expensive one. Part of the menu was actually not available and the waitress was upset that we somehow didn't guess it When we asked for white wine, we were simply brought and poured a glass, no tasting, not even saying which white wine it was Fish was decent, but not 150€ good I don't care about the level of a restaurant, 18€ for a bland omelette is a rip off Waited to pay 30 minutes. We asked for a check and waited for 15 minutes for a waiter to come with a POS terminal... To the couple next to us. We asked him for a check and waited another 15 minutes before someone finally came over and we paid. On the way out, we were not acknowledged by anyone from the staff. Which is fine at a pintxos place, but not an expensive restaurant pretending to be high quality.

So, avoid. Plenty of great places to find near and far.

After a day on the path of Flysch we were really hungry but had no idea where to go, so I resorted back to my main tool: ‘asking the locals’; this time at a gas station, the lady behind the cashier was unambiguously clear: Asador Bedua. In her words: „super bueno pero super caro“ (super good but super expensive). In spite of the ‘super expensive’ we decided to check it out. The place wasn’t easy to find but it was a beautiful setting, the restaurant was rustic-style and apart from a French guest and his daughter completely empty. Not only the building but but also the waitress and the food was rather archaic as we learned once we decided to stay. All in all the lady from the gas station was definitely right! The recipes were simple without complications, more a ‘back to the good taste of the essence’ type of concept without frills. Fuimos el domingo pasado, llegando una señora nos dan la carta y al minuto llega otra a decir: ya sabéis? Y le decimos amablemente: no, nos acaban de … y así tal cual no nos dejó sin terminar la frase, se dio la media vuelta y nos dejó con la palabra en la boca, dándonos la espalda, era una mujer súper mal educada, no recuerdo mucho su aspecto, pero parecía como encargada o no se. Habían otras dos camareras, una señora mayor y una chica de Ucrania que si fueron amables, pero esa definitivamente no sabe del trato al público… Luego llega la comida… pues la peor parte… empezamos con la tortilla que nada más meterme el primer bocado a la boca tenía un plástico GIGANTE dentro… un restaurante tan caro y que no tenga esos controles de calidad tú me dirás… además estaba desabrida y con una presentación horrible, vamos fatal! No tuvieron ni un detalle con nosotros y unas disculpas pues simples… Las croquetas aunque eran mínimas estaban buenas y el jamón pues estaba bien pero sinceramente he comido mejores para el precio… ahora hablemos del robo mayor, la chuleta… nunca nos preguntaron el punto, la chuleta estaba como súper dura por fuera y por dentro tenía un punto medio raro… habían lados que estaban muy cocidos y otros al punto pero sinceramente no estaba rica… lo mejor las patatas que pagas aparte… luego el precio… fuimos dos personas y pagamos 178,93€ que si hubiese sido una buena experiencia no hubiese importado, porque estamos acostumbrados a ir a lugares con ese precio ya que nos gusta el buen comer, pero la verdad pagar esto para la mala calidad fue decepcionante! Por otro lado la chuleta no te informan cuánto pesa y te llega de repente la cuenta de que pesaba 1,450 km, cuando deberían informarte antes o traerte el ticket con el peso, ambos estamos seguro que esa chuleta no pesaba esa cantidad, he leído aquí comentarios de personas quejándose de lo mismo y con toda la razón, la verdad te roban en tu cara! Sin contar con que la copa estaba rota, los vasos sucios y la “bola” de helado de la torrija era como una nuez… Sinceramente fue una experiencia súper agridulce… porque con la ilusión que teníamos y más siendo un día especial para nosotros fue una decepción total… De verdad que para el “prestigio” que tenía este lugar salimos súper decepcionados… el lugar si es muy bonito aunque el huerto está horrible y mal cuidado, pero ya algunas fotos te puedes hacer si te quieres llevar un recuerdo. La verdad no lo recomiendo en absoluto y evidentemente...
