I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Domino's Pizza Kalutara. As a loyal customer, I expected better service and transparency, but unfortunately, that was not the case.
Upon placing my order, I was not informed of any delivery restrictions. However, to my dismay, when I was called to inform about the status of my delivery during this rainy evening, I was told that if I couldn't come and pick up the order from a location they designated, I would have to cancel it altogether.
Firstly, it's unacceptable that these restrictions were not communicated prior to placing my order. As a customer, I should have been informed of any limitations that may affect my ability to receive the delivery.
Moreover, the fact that they insisted on canceling my order because I couldn't pick it up from their designated location is utterly ridiculous. It's pouring rain outside, and impractical for me to venture out just to collect a pizza. If I were able to pick it up, why would I have requested delivery in the first place?
This lack of consideration for their customers' convenience is simply unacceptable. Pizza delivery services should prioritize the needs and preferences of their customers, especially during adverse weather conditions.
Overall, my experience with Domino's Pizza Kalutara has left me deeply dissatisfied. I expected better from a reputed chain like Domino's. I hope they take this feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to ensure better service and transparency in the future. Until then, I'll be exploring other pizza delivery options that prioritize customer...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with Domino’s Kalutara. They claim a “30 minutes or free” delivery guarantee, but it’s clearly just false advertising. I placed an order and ended up receiving it at 11:59 PM, a full 48 minutes later, for a delivery on the same road as the restaurant.
At 11:49 PM, I still had no pizza. The restaurant called me twice to “confirm” my address, even though I had entered the correct one. My address is clearly listed on Google Maps, so there was no valid reason for the delay.
The worst part is the dishonesty. On the first call, they told me the pizza was still at the restaurant. But when the delivery person finally arrived, she lied, saying she had been “waiting outside.” I had checked and no one was there.
On the Domino’s app, it clearly states the “30 minutes or free” guarantee on the order tracking screen. But when I called to ask about it, they claimed it doesn’t apply to large pizzas. Then why advertise it at all? That’s misleading and dishonest.
I also have screenshots as proof, showing the actual delivery time and when they falsely marked the pizza as delivered. Totally unprofessional. I will not be ordering from this branch again and I strongly recommend others to...
Read moreUtterly disappointed. I chose this outlet specifically for its river view, planning my monthly pizza day out with my 4-year-old. We usually visit Pizza Hut Wadduwa, selected this for a change. but this experience was appalling and absolutely unfit for a family dine-in.
They served the Loaded Mighty Meat pizza in a cardboard box no fork, no spoon, not even a knife to cut it. I had to tear the slices by hand to serve my child. The air conditioning near the river-facing area wasn’t working, making the entire experience uncomfortable.
To make matters worse, the plates were cheap plastic, degrading the entire experience, it honestly felt like serving food to dogs. On arrival, we even encountered stray dogs loitering on the second floor where the outlet is located a clear question of hygiene and safety.
This branch is a disgrace to the brand and nowhere near the standards expected from Pizza Hut. Pettah street shops offer far better service and...
