Came to visit a close friend in osthammar for 3 days although we had been advised it would be quiet this time of year you are still blown away by the charm and the peace and quietness of the area beautiful. Having stayed at Johamssons Hotel I cannot speak highly enough about it we arrived late Monday night to be met by the owner who gave us a huge warm and friendly welcome.. she showed us to our room which exceeded all my expectations everything u needed was there. An excellent little boutique hotel in Östhammar, an hour and a half from Stockholm. All rooms - the hotel is situated in a couple of old houses - are different, both in size and looks, but the ones I have stayed in are all comfortable. There is also a two room suite which is not much more expensive than the other rooms. Some of the rooms have terraces or balconies. The garden is a perfect place where to have an afternoon glass of wine. Breakfast is good, not a lot to chose from but fulfilling. The very nice staff tells us that they are working on extending the kitchen, with hopes of offering a dinner menu...
