Lovely restaurant, would recommend you have a barcode/QR code scanner app, as the menus are in Swedish, but you have the option to see it in English, this is predominantly a salmon restaurant with all things salmon, even the fish n chips, which I picked as I'm not a massive salmon fan, however I loved it, as simple as it was I actually really enjoyed it, the only gripe I had was I had to pay by card, but I was told by our hosts that a lot of shops/businesses are "going down that road", but wasn't a massive problem, service, food and ambiance was great, if you want to book private rooms for groups of people, you can, and that's not all, there are also different themed rooms too, which as quite novel, it's definitely worth a visit, even if you're not keen on eating salmon, I reckon it would convert you as...

This is a great stop for a break for us, as it's on our way home from Göteborg airport to Halmstad, parking is free and they have lots of spaces.

The menu is on show as you walk in and is informative. There is plenty of choice and everything is so fresh and very well presented, clean and very tidy throughout the restaurant. Plenty of tables on the ground floor to sit at as well as upstairs, they have highchairs for babies and a play area for small children on the ground floor. Laxbutiken is conveniently located right off the E6, making it an easy stop. The large parking area is a plus, although there are no specific spots for motorhomes; we parked along one of the exit roads where other motorhomes were. The selection is vast, and we chose to buy salmon fillets for sushi. The beautiful salmon rolls, resembling a round sandwich cake in portions, were delicious with smoked salmon inside and gravlax outside—great value at 79 SEK each.
