First visit was in June 2022. It's impossible to describe how good this was. The pizza of course is the best you'll find in Sweden. Even the dessert pizza, something I am usually very skeptical about, was delicious. That they only charge 99 sek, about 10 USD for a pizza of this quality is unbelievable. I pay more for a bad pizza in my home town of Uppsala. Same pizza in the US in a city like NYC or LA you would probably pay 20 USD for the same quality. Before tax and tip. But it's not just the pizza that is outstanding here. The wine list has not only depth and breadth but the prices are insanely low. Some of the wines are selling for less than they would cost if you could find them on the open market. Many wines have enough ageing to make them very interesting. We drank a Volnay from 2009 that was at a perfect spot in it's development. It would have probably cost at least double in any other restaurant. The wine guy also recommended a wonderful vermut after the pizza and even poured us a free taste of a great coffee liquor made by nuns in France. Which brings me to the third point. The service is also top notch. Yes, you do have to get your fork and knives from the bar and bring them to the table yourself but that has nothing to do with service in my opinion. Service for me is way the staff acts to make you feel welcome and to make your evening memorable. Here everyone went that extra yard to do so. We were both almost laughing because we were so happy and felt like we had been eating here once a week for years. For me, that is true service, not a little stool beside your table that women can put their handbag on. Hats off and a huge grazie mille to everyone at Lilla Napoli. Shame we live on the other side of Sweden but we will be back. This place is worth a trip on it's own.
July 2023. Back again. We made the trip just to eat here. And it was just as good as before. We actually sat here for over 6 hours. There was a wine festival so there were some extra dishes available. Started with 2 pizzas. Later fried zucchini flowers and chicken liver. All were delicious. Anton in the bar was a real charm. Helped us choose two wines and did everything possible with coolers and extra larges glasses to make them special over the afternoon. Later we finished with a dessert pizza. If Michelin had a clue this would at least be a 1 star restaurant but in reality it's the true definition of a 3 star. Worth a visit on its own.
We'll be back next...

Pizza, Anxiety, and the Art of Pretending You're Fine
Went to Lilla Napoli because I've heard pizza cures existential dread—or at least provides carbs while you ignore it. The whole place is basically an ironic commentary on our generation: humble aesthetic, pizza served from what appears to be a concrete bunker, and an obsessive focus on authenticity as if authenticity itself could fix anything.
The pizza? Ridiculously good. Like, "briefly distract you from your unresolved childhood issues" good. Ordered the classic Margherita, because nothing screams "I've lost touch with myself" louder than paying extra for simplicity. It's honestly brilliant: the dough fluffy enough to comfort me through a minor panic attack, sauce tangy enough to temporarily numb the void.
Seating is communal, perfect for pretending you're connecting with strangers without ever actually having to speak. Everyone nods politely, maintaining that careful balance between social anxiety and desperation for human contact. At some point, you realize this isn't dinner—it's group therapy disguised as Neapolitan pizza.
Dessert pizza is highly recommended if you're still emotionally hungry after your first existential slice. It won't fix you, but at least you'll feel sweetly understood while spiraling quietly at your table.
Five stars, because where else can you confront your inner emptiness while pretending you're just here for artisanal pizza?

Read moreLast weekend we went to have lunch here. They have a simple short list of menu with and without tomato sauce Neapolitan style pizza. Plus one dessert pizza . Costs(121kr /pizza) We ordered pizza (with mushrooms and skinka) no.5 and no.7 both were without tomato sauce(i prefer without tomato sauce) and both of them were really tasty.
Pizza base was soft and light bread with salty melted cheese on top and the skinka onion mushrooms added a nice texture to it. I preferred the no7 pizza with mushrooms and skinka. No5 was also good but i missed something crunch on it may be they can add fried shallots to it instead of onions. I assume the pizzas with tomato sauce might also be good( have noticed people enjoying their tomato sauce pizza happily)
Regarding the place it’s a bit congested (in winter) may be during summer when you can sit outdoors it would be ok.
First time visiting this place was a bit confusing for me
You order the pizza at the reception and they assign you a table with a self fill in invoice type paper.. on the way you can pick drinks olives, cheese, pizza slicer, salt pepper olive oil and few other items. Few items are chargeable so you can read the paper and check prices for them. Pizza is served on the table. Once you finished eating you can fill in the paper and pay via swish and drop the paper on your way out.
Overall it was a good experience. Food was tasty.. i was full so couldn’t try the dessert pizza 😒keeping it for...
