If you happen to be in Gotland, make a reservation here. This was a total dining experience. The food was not only beautifully presented, but the flavors were outstanding. I can still remember each bite, from the fried focaccia with a basil aioli, to a refreshing ceviche and steak tartar, to an amazing crispy duck with an orange mayonnaise, a succulent lamb, and a delicious strawberry sorbet all ending with a cheese plate. Everything is locally sourced as the young star chef, Stefanie, goes for sustainability. I was lucky enough to sit at the bar and talk with Truls who is one of the owners and primary creators of Boge Bränneri in Slite. He spoiled me with tastings of his work. One blueberry schnapps contained 15 kilos of blueberries per bottle. Needles to say, the flavor was out of this world but too expensive to make! Fantastic food and drinks based on local ingredients. We had the tasting menu with wine/drinks menu. All dishes (beef,duck, trout to name a few) were cooked to perfection and the wine/ drink pairing which included cocktails, French and ZA wine in addition to a local rose was excellent. The service was perfect by friendly and competent staff. The cocktails are worth a visit on its own.

A true hidden gem! This place is what every restaurant should aspire to be. From the moment you step inside, you can tell they care about every detail — from the way the tables are set to how each dish is presented. The food? Absolutely spectacular. Every bite felt carefully crafted and full of flavor. And the drinks? Honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had — creative, balanced, and just unforgettable.
