Tofta Beach House — Restaurant in Gotland Municipality

We decided to visit Tofta Beach House based on a trusted recommendation, and it turned out to be well worth the 30‑minute taxi ride from Visby. The weather couldn’t have been better, and from the moment we caught our first glimpse of the restaurant, we knew it was going to be a memorable visit.

The staff were stylish, friendly, and welcoming. We were seated at a lovely round table with a beautiful view of the beach. Feeling indulgent, we started with champagne, caviar, oysters, and fire shrimps. Each dish was a delight, offering a rich array of delicate flavors.

Our mains didn’t disappoint either. The Swedish entrecôte was perfectly prepared, and the staff’s wine recommendation paired with it beautifully. The Caesar salad was as good as it gets.

Pretty place, nice view with good food, nothing special though - for what you’re getting (small portions) it’s overpriced and the waiter didn’t bother to ask if everything was to our liking when we asked for the receipt. Instead he silently dropped the payment terminal at our table, left, we paid, got the receipt ourselves and saw ourselves out. If a pricey place doesn’t come with filling meal portions, then I at least expect the service to be excellent. So I don’t see us coming back.
