Rotnäs gård — Restaurant in Karlstads kommun

This is a must-visit if you are looking for an intimate, cozy, fresh, vintage place for a great tasting meal or just a coffee. I'm not gonna list all that they serve because it's too much 😁

The shop on the second floor in the main building is gorgeous, difficult to not find anything that you want! Keep your eyes open on the main floor as well, most of the things there are available for sale!

The food is delicious, strongly suggest that you at the very least taste the tea called "Söder"! And if you visit on a sunny day, there are places where you can find shade. They serve pizza AND they serve ice-cream...

I spent 4 hours there just enjoying the atmosphere, the people and the view and I really, really encourage...

Charmigt ställe med goda smörgåsar.

Vid besöket så var det familjen (två vuxna och två barn, på 3 och 5 år, samt deras mormor & morfar med tre hundar).

I ladan närmast parkeringen fanns det både korgar, ljus och lite annat till försäljning och i en avskiljd del fanns det stolar och bord där man kunde sätta sig med fikan som gick att köpa i cafét som låg mittemot.

Direkt till höger om entrén till magasinet fanns det en liten glasskiosk med en toalett i direkt anslutning, med ramp utanför dörren. Toaletten var väldigt fint iordning och var försedd med toalettarmstöd och skötbord.

Inne i det gamla magasinet så var café delen det första som man möttes av när man kom in, väldigt charmigt med gammal interiör och golvet är nog det samma som varit i magasinet sen det byggdes fick man känslan av. En våning upp låg inredningsbutik där det såldes bland annat kuddar, käpphästar m.m.

Jag provade chevre smörgåsen de sålde och den var riktigt bra. Barnen tog var sin våffla och delade på en ost & skinksmörgås. Våfflorna var stora och frasiga.

Bredvid magasinet fanns det en liten inhägnad där barnen kunde leka med käpphästar och hoppa över hinder, sitta i en gammal tvåsitsiga vagn. Det uppskattades mycket utav barnen.

A very cozy and beautiful place, tho everything has it's flaws

The brownie was extremely dry, hard and not that good. Overall it was expensive and not worth the money

The waffles overall were okay, expensive but if you want a small snack it will top your expectations.

Overall a good place, a bit to packed (covid-19) but other wise okay, would recommend for a small snack but...
