Ông Vietnam — Restaurant in Stockholm

Our party tried a selection of dishes: Pho (both beef and chicken), Spring Roll (rice paper wrapped), Fried Roll, Mango Salad (both shrimp and chicken), Green Tea, Vietnamese Coffee, Melted Chocolat Pudding with Chocolate Ice Cream, and Raspberry Sorbet. My home town has one of the largest Vietnamese populations outside Vietnam and I have over two decades enjoying traditional and upscale Vietnamese cuisine. Omg Vietnam combined Scandinavian seasonings to a more upscale presentation of Vietnamese traditional dishes. For instance of I omitted adding hot chili peppers to the Pho because it overpowers the delicate multilayered flavors of the base stock (broth), which uses more of a European set of herbs and spices with black pepper. Presentation was a major feature of all the dishes. I would describe the food as a contemporary take on traditional Vietnamese Cuisine and definitely recommend. A three course meal (dinner) costs around SEK 350 To 380 per person. The previous day a colleague and I tried the Dagens Lunch (under SEK 200 per person), which only has main courses available. A rather new small restaurant on the block, Ông Vietnam was somewhat disappointing; it's expensive, limited menu, unorganized service staff and the food was simply uninspiring.

The food itself can be either ordered through an app (this information was simply placed on each table, and not informed whilst being seated) or talk to a waiter, considering the size of the restaurant being the smaller side this was an odd choice.

As an constructive critique; Slippery food (sauced up rice noodle) served on a plate with either regular cutlery and chopsticks at your disposal is not doing your customers any favour. It should be served in an bowl! And you really should lower the price for the steam bun, 55 SEK for a ONE small bun is outrageous! Also please check your teacups both our cups were cracked :( hoping for improvement...

One of the BEST vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been in the whole entire Sweden. 1: the atmosphere, environment, lightning and decorations is all combined and gave us a refresh when we walked in

2: Super FRIENDLY and professional staff. Fast pace kitchen, clean inside out. Professional full bar with great beers, cocktails and wine list.

3: FOOD was amazing. We got Pho, Fried shrimps, Bun and Fish source chicken wings.
