Punjabi cuisine is all about bold flavors, rich spices, and perfectly grilled meats. My recent visit to Punjabi Masala Koll Grill was a true delight, offering an authentic taste of Pakistani and Indian food. From the aromatic curries to the smoky grilled meats, every bite transported me straight to the heart of Punjab.
Ambiance & Atmosphere The restaurant had a warm and welcoming vibe, with a cozy interior that blended traditional and modern elements. The decor featured classic Punjabi motifs, wooden furniture, and vibrant colors that added to the cultural experience. Soft Bollywood and Punjabi music played in the background, creating a lively yet comfortable setting. The restaurant was moderately busy, filled with families and groups of friends enjoying their meals, which added to the authentic desi dining experience.
Service & Hospitality The staff at Punjabi Masala Koll Grill were incredibly hospitable and attentive. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and seated promptly. The waiter was friendly and eager to explain the menu, offering recommendations based on my preferences. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was smooth, and the food arrived in a reasonable time without unnecessary delays.
Food & Flavor For my meal, I chose two signature dishes: Chicken Karahi and Mutton Tikkasâa perfect combination of rich curry and smoky grilled meat. The moment the dishes arrived, the aroma of fresh spices, sizzling meats, and buttery naan filled the air, making my mouth water.
Chicken Karahi The Chicken Karahi was undoubtedly the star of the meal. Served in a traditional karahi (wok-like pan), the dish had a vibrant, thick, and aromatic gravy made from fresh tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and a blend of Pakistani spices. The chicken was cooked to perfectionâtender and juicy, absorbing all the rich flavors of the masala.
The balance of flavors was impeccable; the spiciness was just right, complemented by the subtle tanginess of tomatoes and the warmth of garam masala. The generous use of fresh coriander and green chilies added a fresh kick, making each bite incredibly satisfying. Paired with fluffy butter naan, the karahi was an absolute delight, and I found myself savoring every bite.
Mutton Tikkas The Mutton Tikkas were another highlight of the meal. Served sizzling on a hot plate, the skewered mutton pieces had a beautiful char on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. The marinade was rich with yogurt, garlic, ginger, and a blend of aromatic spices, giving the meat a deep, smoky flavor with just the right level of spice.
The mutton was perfectly cooked, with a melt-in-the-mouth texture that made it an absolute treat. A squeeze of fresh lemon over the tikkas elevated the flavors even more, adding a refreshing zing. Served with a side of mint chutney and a crisp onion salad, the dish was a perfect example of how well Pakistani and Indian cuisine handle grilled meats.
Accompaniments & Sides To complement the meal, I ordered butter naan and zeera (cumin) rice. The naan was soft and slightly crispy on the edges, perfect for scooping up the flavorful karahi. The zeera rice was light and aromatic, providing a simple yet delicious pairing for the rich and spicy dishes.
The meal also came with a refreshing raita (yogurt sauce), which helped balance the spice levels. The lassi (traditional yogurt drink) I ordered on the side was creamy and cooling, making it a perfect way to round off the meal.
Overall Experience Punjabi Masala Koll Grill truly delivered an authentic and unforgettable dining experience. The combination of perfectly cooked meats, rich and flavorful curries, and warm hospitality made it a meal to remember.
Final Rating: 9.5/10 This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving genuine Pakistani and Indian cuisine. Whether youâre in the mood for a rich and spicy Chicken Karahi or smoky Mutton Tikkas, this place does it right. The flavors, the ambiance, and the exceptional service make it a spot...
Read moreWe went for lunch with my wife and three kids. Unfortunately, our first impression was very bad. The menus were sticky and dirty, even touching them felt uncomfortable. The table was not clean, the water bottles were dirty and the floor felt sticky too. Since we indirectly know the owner, we didnât want to leave without eating. We ordered Chicken Karahi, Lamb Karahi, Seekh Kabab, Mix Grill and plain naan. But the plates, spoons and forks were all dirty. we had to request clean ones. The tandoori naans were not fresh; they were clearly pre-made and cold. We ordered 8 naans but received only 3 at first. Later when more naans came, they were freshly made, but there was clay from the tandoor stuck to themâreally unpleasant. The chicken karahi was sour like it was topped with pickle and the chicken pieces were raw inside. We couldnât eat it and kept it aside immediately. The lamb karahi had only a few tiny pieces, hardly enough for one spoonful. Seekh kababs were hard and not fresh either, and the mix grill was completely forgotten. Surprisingly, they served a keema naan we never even ordered. At this point, with so many problems, we decided to leave the food and stop eating. When we went to pay, the owner asked how the food was. I told him honestly, âJust look at our table, we couldnât eat it.â He called the cook and when I explained everything to him, the cook responded very rudely and said, âThatâs how it is. Chicken is supposed to be sour; we added pickle.â His attitude was very insulting. The owner looked embarrassed, but honestly, Punjabi Masala needs serious improvement. Cleanliness, food quality and staff behavior all need major changes....
Read moreExtremely bad customer service. I ordered my food via Foodora. I tried to order for 2dishes. There was an option free rice, free naan.I chose free naan. I very politely wrote a text if they can kindly provide garlic naan along with 1 dish and asked if they can provide butter naan along with the other dish. They cancel 1of them. I wanted 2naans. It was their fault that they cancelled it. And when I called to ask if they can provide some rice or gravy, he said I should order via foodora again and they cannot give anything for free, he is very busy with customers and he just slammed the phone extremely rudely. I called back to get more clarity and he picks the call and starts arguing as to why I asked for free garlic naan and that if I want 300g gold ,would I ask it for free. I said I did not order it for free,it was a question as there was a choice to select free naan. Then he just asks me to cancel the order if I wanted and slammed the phone again when I started tellimg him please help me cancel it as I was unable to . I called several times and he kept cutting my call. Then I called from another number, he picks up, hears my voice and slams the phone again. I call several times and he cuts the call. Finally he picks up, leave the receiver for me to feel like I am talking to the wall. I genuinely ask for his help to cancel the order. He doesn't reply but I keep hearing all sounds from the restaurant. Within few minutes he cancelled the order. He says he is busy with customers, God bless them for having food from a person who offers it with this...
