Adana Döner Grill — Restaurant in Upplands Väsby kommun

This is the first time I visited Mangal BBG restaurang in Upplands väsby. I went with a friend, from China. Me myself I am from Africa. And by now I know I should know better. First impression is very important. I Knew from when I entered the restaurant that I should have turned back. The personers behind the counter was not very nice, they gave me and my friend " The Look". Which was even more strange, because the workers themselves spoke turkish .. I tend to forget that rasism, does exist within the commnuity of foreigners as well. So, when i say these guys gave us the "Look" most foreigners should know what I means. Anyways, we ordered our food, waited for our food and ate. the main reason we went to this place was because we really just wanted to sitt and talk, eat and talk a little more and drink our glas of water. 2 hours later at around 19:00 we were asked to leave. We asked if they were closing already, and they said yes. there was not very much people at the restaurant, so we got up, moved towards the door, but noticed that there were other people being served food on the entrance side of the restaurant. I looked at the personal, they looked back at us and looked around. My friend has never been subjected to this level of rasism. I felt sorry for her.. I knew very well what had happened. This restaurant just did not feel comfortable with serving a black woman and her chines friend. of course I asked why they asked us to leave, one of the servers had a really good explanation, - we are starting to clean up now, we will be closing soon. really i said, you close at 21:00 and the time was 19:00. well, he did not really know what else to say.. I kindly explained to him that I have around 50k followers on Tripadviser and google. I asked him about what he thought I should write about my experiance at their restaurant? suddenly he stated that I was more than welcome to stay. so, just for your information, rasism is alive and well at Mangal BBG in Upplands Väsby.. Yes, they are also foreigners, but apparently as a more coloured foreigner, i was just not welcome to stay at their restaurant. my money was okay, as long as I dont sitt there. So, the food was okay, but my presens was not. I thank them for their service today. But, I will not be eating at any other Mangal BBG restaurant in the future. on top of this, my friend who always pay in casch, just notified me that she just counted the money she received back she is short of 100 kr. Great bistro burger take out for lunch, good taste and short wait. The burger was juicy, the bread was a different style than the usual (very dense) which was a pleasant experience and the fries stayed hot and crunchy for an impressively long time in an open box. Chose not to sit in the restaurant and eat because the tables were "cleaned" by one of the staff quickly walking past and grabbing the biggest crumbs, as well as not particularly friendly staff at the register. We absolutely love this place. The food is so fresh and well seasoned. The lamb, pides and salads are our favorite. We order via foodora and it’s excellent! With one recent order we had a problem with foodora and not all of our order was delivered. I called the restaurant and they immediately corrected it.
