Svartsö Krog — Restaurant in Värmdö kommun

Disappointing experience from start to finish. Svartsö Krog presents itself as a fine dining restaurant but fails to deliver on almost every level. Tap water had a strong chlorine taste, and the “cheddar puffed corn chips” served were actually Estrella’s mass-produced football snacks (see photo).

We tried four starters and three mains yet only the char was decent, at 425 SEK. The pasta was a half portion, and surprisingly, we weren’t even given the choice of how we wanted the meat.

Nice atmosphere, but staff gave incorrect information about the dishes, and the food overall simply did not meet expectations.

As one of the closes neighbors to the restaurant we go there a couple of times each year. Few dishes but all excellent and always superbly executed. Both for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend the vegetarian options. Menu is often changing but never disappointing. Nice selection of beer and wine.

Of course worth mention the nice surroundings and sea views in the beautiful Stockholm archipelago. If you're from out of town it's definitely worth a day trip from the city on...

Den märkligaste upplevelsen jag hittills haft i restaurangväg. Jag kommer dit dagen efter midsommarafton, det var visst fullbokat men hovmästarinnan lyckades trots allt ge oss ett bord (men vi hade bara 1 timme på oss). Inga problem efter som vi inte bokat och var tacksamma eftersom hon trots allt kunde lösa ett bord till oss.

Det var knappt några människor på stället och vi frågade om vi kunde få flytta in, helst inte var svaret vi fick. Kött kunde vi inte heller beställa eftersom det tog så lång tid påstod hon, hur lång tid tar det att grilla en köttbit?

Efter att vi ätit ( stressat i oss maten) berättar hon att hon fått EN avbokning så vi kunde få beställa efterrätt. Stället var långt ifrån fullbokat, inga kaffedrinkar fanns att beställa endast Irish coffee trots att bordet bredvid tidigare beställt hot shots, när vi sade detta ville hon HELST INTE servera oss det eftersom det inte fanns i menyn.

Fint stället med jättegod mat men tycker synd om ägarna som gjort en sådan fruktansvärd felrekrytering. Kommer aldrig återkomma och vill vidareförmedla denna upplevelse till alla som tänker sig besöka detta ställe då det lämnade mig med en mycket dålig efterkänsla.
