Book as stop over for one night, a bit of a bendy road, but well worth the effort. We arrived early evening greeted by the owner, a very friendly acommadating man who bought out 4 ice cold beers and unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open so had to go into town to eat. For all people who haven't been to Switzerland beware it's expensive, very expensive! The temperatures dropped drastically in the evening due to being so high up. We had breakfast in the morning in the restaurant and we were the only people as I guess was out of season as more for winter skiing, but don't be fooled the mountains in summer are stunning! Arrived for a late lunch after watching the Tour de France visit Switzerland. This hotel restaurant was recommended to me by a good friend and food lover. The owner and master chef, Ernst, was on hand to supervise and prepare the wonderful food. I had a cheese plate that was full of lovely surprises and a vegetarian salad, my partner opted for Wurst salad; we then took the yummy ice cream and sorbet desserts, followed by a stroke of genius form Ernst - a fresh baked waffle with fruits of the forest, ice cream and cream..... wine and beer flowed; coffees were intense and flavoursome ... and we had such a fantastic time...
