I've come to this restaurant 5 times. The fifth, was a disaster. I ordered the filets de perches, as did my wife and father-in-law. The dish for my wife was fine whilst the fish for both my father-in-law and I was way too salty. We sent these back and 5 minutes later (no exaggerating), the waiter came back with two new plates saying that he took these that were going to another table and said to us that they had been cooked without any salt. It took one bite to find out this was clearly untrue that they were even saltier than the last serving we got. I wasn't upset, but I immediately asked the waiter to try them for himself and see how salty they were. The waiter blew up in my face, calling me a liar and that he wouldn't do anything about it and refused to taste the little fish. The people around us were a bit shocked with his outburst (it was loud). I don't get embarrassed by stupidity, but was uncomfortable for my wife and father-in-law who had just arrived from abroad. I kept calm and I explained to him that we would pay for our food, that this wasn't the first time I had come to the restaurant so why would we lie now? I was not going to have it. I asked for the maitre D' who did taste the salty fish, agreed that it was "slightly saltier than usual" and apologized. We had the food served to us again, this time without any salt, but all of us were left without an appetite, a size-able bill and big feeling of disappointment. Definitely not a feeling you want to get after spending the little time you have with family or friends on a weekend...
Read moreFor over 10 years my team has regularly visited this restaurant for the ambience, view and high quality fillet de pêche. But no more. Under new ownership the food is diabolical, the service rude and abysmal. All it has going for it is the view- but seen once it’s not a selling point. New owners have changed the menu- and put the price up significantly. Sadly the food and service do not warrant. With fillet de pêche, the salad starter came in a transparent plastic bowl that was to be shared amongst four! The fillet de pêche at a new ridiculous price- highest in the area- served with a terrible sauce and a vegetable side like one would serve with Sunday lunch. Ie it looks like it does in a frozen food veg packet, sprigs of broccoli and cauliflower, sliced carrots. Basic, no finesse. And for the price- clearly aiming for a one star Michelin level- utterly a joke. There’s far better in the region for half the price with more effort on presentation. For deserts, a tiramisu that’s not really a tiramisu. And finally, after 10+ years of visiting as a corporate team, they no longer accept American Express! The best response to this issue being,“well there’s the washing up”. Said rudely, not humorously. Avoid, and punish these new owners that believe they can purchase a restaurant like this, run for a profit because it had a reputation and a pleasant view, but make zero effort. The food and service is terrible. The...

Despite a pleasant terrace with your feet in the sand (nearly), the service is gruff at best (except for the chubby older gentleman with specs), the food passable and the prices high.
On a warm summer Saturday, half the fish species (out of 4) were out of stock. One of our party had the “filets de perche” in a white wine sauce which were bland and uninteresting. The rest of our party defaulted to the “entrecôte” cooked on slate which, here again, was so bland I doubt it was sirloin (or was low quality beef, also possible).
To top this off, the prices are very high (CHF 56 for the sirloin on slate, CHF 40.50 for the perch) and the interior is drab, featuring plastic tables and chairs and sad tiling.
The beach itself is quite dirty along Allaman Plage and you’ll find much cleaner...
