Burg-Strahlegg GmbH — Restaurant in Amden

Great location, poor service

There are only two restaurants in these area (the other have really bad comments) so I went to this one. Place was full and the 2 waitresses were overloaded.

After found a empty spot I wait for over 20 minutes trying to get at least something to drink and the waitress do not even look at me (even I talk to them or call their attention when pass around). After 25 minutes I left the place.

Food seems ok and is family friendly, so my advice is to arrive early or after normal lunch hours, otherwise be ready to...

Not so friendly staff. I asked for alcohol-free beer, they did not have. Neither pommes frites. That was ok, no problem We have a baby, so the baby started to play in their playground while I was ordering. We waited a little bit so that the baby was finishing playing but a woman came and said : if you haven't ordered anything you cannot use the playground..... Very ugly to ask us leaving the playground (to a 22 month old baby) after asking for two things they did...

Restaurant in an old farmhouse. Authentic and traditional food, for example swiss sausages known as Schüblig. More than enough choices in such a (kind of remote) place. Tastes good. Standard prices for Switzerland, it means higher than anywhere else. Except for the drinks, as you can get 0,5 liter of cider for quite a low price. We will come back in...
