Beautiful restaurant. Kind and helpful staff members. Very peaceful and tranquil location surrounded by green sceneries and forrest. The interior has a very nostalgic vibe of a classic mountain cabin or refuge. The river and streams and waterfalls nearby add another level of charm and beauty to this place. The food was fresh and delicious and didn't take too long to get served. The coffee was good. Easily accessible on foot or by bicycle and car ( exceptions). Highly recommend this restaurant.

Just a note: internet connection in the area is quite weak, there’s no English menu available, and the staff’s English is fairly limited — so it’s a good idea to prepare in advance if you don’t speak German. The staff were very friendly. The food was generally good, but it would be nice to see something extra on the plate included in the price — maybe a bit of garnish or something for presentation.

Ich kenne das Alpenrösli und seine Familie seit 50 Jahren. Aus nachvollziehbaren Gründen ist die aktuelle Generation den heutigen Herausforderungen professionell nicht gewachsen. Das Personal ist freundlich, jedoch nicht geschult und ineffizient. Nach einem missglückten Wildpfeffer (ätzende Beize) letzten Herbst bin ich beim gestrigen Besuch gar nicht zum Essen gekommen, da eine Stunde nach der Bestellung ausser den Getränken nichts vor mir lag. Ich habe die Getränke bezahlt und mich verabschiedet. Dem wunderschön gelegenen und in seinem ursprünglichen stimmigen Zustand belassenen Alpenrösli ist dringend eine adäquate Nachfolgelösung zu gönnen.

Some friends brought us here and we had a fantastic meal. So much so that we decided to come here after a hike. This was a big mistake. For 15 minutes we were ignored, not even provided with a menu. Even some diners at other table noticed how long we had been waiting. Eventually we just left,very disappointed and...
