Intollerance to allergies. We didn’t get to try the food because of the rude welcome and the intolerance to our questions about allergies. My daughter is allergic to egg. A problem is easily avoided but a quick chat to the chef. First when we arrived we we greeted with “ have you got a reservation?” We politely said that we hadn’t and asked if it would be possible for the 4 of us. A table was pointed to, “ sit there”…. She said and walked off. After 10 mins i asked a passing waitress for a menu, some water?? They both came but were dumped on the table for us to organise. She disappeared. When she finally came back i asked her about eggs in the pizza dough. She said she gad no idea but dont order it because she wasn’t sure. I asked about the pasta. Again same answer, now you could see she was impatient. Looking around etc. I asked to speak to the chef. She pointed to the kitchen and walked off. I got up and asked the pizza chef who immediately turned his back. I get it…. They are busy and we are English. I can speak rough french. Another chef passed the service opening and said that the pizza has egg. I questioned the ingredients as they advertise that they are an italien restaurant. He said abruptly that they make the dough. Ok….. i asked about the pasta, he said it was Barrillia. We know and buy this make…… I said we use this at home can we have pasta. Abruptly and now with his back turned he got on with doing something else. He shouted that the pasta has egg, i asked to see the ingredients on the packet. He grunted something. I could see it on the shelf but clearly it was all to inconvenient for him. I asked again. He gave it to me, i showed him it was egg free. I asked if we could have this but cooked in a separate pot of clean water, as the pot they use has also had egg pasta in it. He said NO And went about his business. There is a sign on the door If you have allergies then please talk to our staff.

Read moreJ’étais invité pour l’anniversaire de ma cousine qui fêtait ses 40 ans et mon oncle ses 70 ans. Nous avons vraiment bien mangé et l’idée d’avoir des entrées froides et divers anti pastis chaudes et sains ça change vraiment par rapport à un repas. On mange à notre faim. Le dessert a l’italienne certes standard était d’un pur régal (tiramisu, panna cota et chausson aux pommes).
Le service était digne d’un 5 étoiles. Tout le personnel était à notre petit soin. Le restaurant était privatisé ce jour là pour nous .
Il y avait vraiment une bonne ambiance et avec en plus le cortège des vaches à travers le village.

Die Pizza hat mich persönlich nicht aus den Socken gehauen, da habe ich im Vergleich zu anderen Pizzen mehr erwartet. Diese war einfach fade, konnte auch mit Pfeffer nicht aufgepeppt werden und war das teure Geld nicht wirklich wert.
Auf Grund des gefüllten Restaurant kann ich nicht davon ausgehen, dass meine Pizza nicht Standard war, sonst wäre das Restaurant nicht so gut besucht.
Fairerweise muss ich sagen, dass ich, schon nur wegen dem tollen Personal beim nächsten Besuch einen neuen, unvoreingenommen Versuch...
