Hôtel de la Truite — Restaurant in Boudry

The personnel who works here is incredibly RACIST. We kindly asked in French a small question about where one could find a trash can and he literally kicked me and my friend out. They were so mean. Needless to say after that we decided it is better not to eat anything there. Anyways it is only 100 years old rich people who goes here.

Edit to respond: How are we uneducated? See even by insulting me like this here without knowing my education level you are showing that you are racist towards foreign people. We perfectly cleaned and didn't leave anything behind, in fact to make sure nothing drops on the path we wanted to find a disposal right there. I think on nice days it's better to pack a picnic, leave the beautifully situated restaurant on the side, and eat the picnic on the calme riverbank. We arrived shortly after midday to find a battle of crockery and busy, tired staff. A little less than half of the tables were still occupied but there were mountains of crockery everywhere, inside and outside, waiting to be cleared. We put them together a little so that we had room, went in to order and after half an hour we asked if our food was coming ...ubs they had forgotten if we really wanted it. Of course there will now be a story about shortage of staff and so on, but the remedy would be to adapt the offer of places so that it can be handled with quality. Then the stuff might also have time to keep the toilets properly clean...a restaurant's...

Champ-du-Moulin liegt malerisch im Val de Travers, eingebettet zwischen Noiraigue und Boudry, direkt am Ufer der Areuse. Der kleine, idyllische Ort ist Teil des Naturreservats Creux-du-Van und besticht durch seine ruhige Lage und natürliche Schönheit. Das historische Hotel-Restaurant de la Truite befindet sich traumhaft schön quasi direkt am Flussufer. Das Gebäude wurde 1832 nach einem Brand neu errichtet und entwickelte sich 1897/98 zum Hotel-Restaurant. In den 1930er Jahren musste der Betrieb aufgrund wirtschaftlicher Schwierigkeiten eingestellt werden. Dank der Champ-du-Moulin Foundation wurde das Haus liebevoll renoviert und der grosse Festsaal restauriert – die Wiedereröffnung fand im Jahr 2015 statt. Ein echtes Juwel ist die angrenzende Salle des Fêtes, eine historische Halle aus der Belle Époque, die heute als Kulturgut von nationaler Bedeutung gilt. Am ersten Abend unserer Ferien durften wir hier ein wunderbares Abendessen geniessen. Auf der grosszügigen, hübsch gestalteten Terrasse wurden wir herzlich empfangen und aufmerksam bedient. Die Speisen waren liebevoll angerichtet und haben hervorragend geschmeckt – ein kulinarisches Erlebnis in einem einzigartigen Ambiente. Wir haben die Zeit hier sehr genossen, die beeindruckenden Gebäude besichtigt und die besondere Atmosphäre auf uns wirken lassen.
