Auberge Communale de la Clef d'Or — Restaurant in Bursinel

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant (not the hotel) Auberge communale de la clef d’or in Bursinel. Nested above vineyards, in the middle of this charming village and with views over the Geneva lake and French alps, this restaurant is ideally located. The food served here is of the highest quality. The location as other reviewers have pointed out is excellent with a great view of the lake. The service was rather lacking possibly from lack of staff as we had to wait 15 minutes to get our aperitif order taken and another 15-20 mins for our aperitif to arrive and our meal order taken. What "shocked" us the most was the high prices CHF46 for a plate of filets perches (12 small pieces) with french fries on the side. No salad and no second service. A pity and I won't be returning...

Outside of Geneva lies this little gem of a restaurant attached to a small hotel that offers amazing dishes with a fantastic view of Lake Geneva.

This restaurant offers a limited menu, but each dish offered is wonderful. I ordered the Perch fillets and this dish was delicious, delicate and fulfilling yet not overly filling.

The service level was also very good, as the staff were attentive and friendly. If you find yourself in Bursinel or passing through, I’d highly recommend...
