I have tried the carpaccio and tasted the roast beef as well, both well prepared of high quality meat. The carpaccio made by the chef is really excellent!

The filets of lamb is a must, it was so harmonic, melting in my mouth with roasted potatoes...Mmm with one glass of wine from the local vinery, Monzeglio, just fantastic.

One of the few Restaurants left in Ticino where you may still experience a bit of authentic human touch! Owner genuinely welcomed and established a kind connection with us and all the other guests too. Clean and well kept interiors, quiet, romantic and with beautiful view of a huge magnolia tree and patio, plus a sophisticated selection of background music. Recipes are simple of typical Grotto’s food with very good execution, also thanks to the excellent quality of ingredients. I believe several options were house-made (including fresh pasta, a few desserts, and also the apricot marmalade on our crostata - so yummy). Last but not least plenty of choice for vegetarians too. Loved the place. Food is great. When I was there it was "full house" therefore a bit noisy. For the same reason the service was struggling keeping up the high standard they are aiming to, therefore I suggest they find someone to help: still the restaurant is new and I totally understand their choice of starting by doing one thing at a time. It is a great addition to the current offer of grotti and restaurant, I will go again. Take into consideration making reservations...
