Antico Ristorante Borromeo — Restaurant in Circolo dell'Isole

Yesterday evening we booked a table at this restaurant after hearing good reviews from a couple we meet . Beginning was good ,staff was nice and welcoming. BUT then wierd thig happened I don't know was it racism or not ?. They gave us very less portions as compared to the other tables . Fish dish which cost 39 chf was so little and we ordered one Tagliatelle with tomato sauce, they gave us with bologna sauce. Although we specified them. And that too in a very small plate ,like you give to kids and when we asked is it tomato sauce? the girl said yes yes it is . First I thought ok this might be the size of the portions, may be I am reacting too much ,but when we were about to leave,the table next to me was served the same fish dish and I was shocked with the portion she was given. We didn't say anything there, we even eat that bolognese sauce, as we thought they cant do this ,might be we are over thinking. But with the course of time and looking aroud we realized it is completely racism game they played with us .just imagine we paid so much amount for such pathetic behavior and food . I will not recommend this restaurant to any color people . I want to give this restaurant a minus but will give 1 only for the person who gave us a nice place to sit . I wanted to give it 5 stars but with a heavy heart I have to deduct 1 star for the slow service. We had to wait at least 30 minutes between the starter and the main. The main arrived an hour and 15 minutes after we sat down. This meant I had to skip the creme Catalan that I had my eye on. I almost took another star off because of the size of the portions (rather small) but the bill seemed to have a been somewhat reduced as the wait staff seemed to feel bad about the slowness of the service. Food is ok, service very bad. Some of the dishes were nice, the ragout of the pasta was tasty, but the tagliatelle were definitely not home made as written. The potato cream in the octopus starter was very liquid and tasteless. But the most disappointing things was seeing the waiter offering the limoncello at the end of the dinner to all the other tables but not to us, after also giving 15chf tips, they were probably in a rush to close the restaurant.
