Visited 2 days ago with my partner, we're both from England. They sat us down on the end of a group table of native speakers and without explaining much, brought over some salami and bread. I asked for a menu and they said they only have 1 menu, I didn't understand so asked to see it written down so I know what I'm eating. They said they don't have it written down. This made it quite intimidating as we weren't sure what was going on, I asked to pay for drinks and leave, the owner said I could have the salami and leave. I was able to ask some questions to the people sharing our table and they said it was a traditional swiss experience and was 20 CHF for 4-5 courses and they've been doing the same 1 menu for 32 years. So I asked to stay and ended up having a great time! All the staff were nice, especially considering we messed them about. Everything was delicious, we were involved in communal conversation with nice people. Really good place, if you're English, don't be intimidated, the food is simple and delicious and if you ask questions people will help you. The photos are after it had emptied as it was almost...

We went in blind and we were confused about what’s going on. There is no menu, just the set menu they bring out in courses. Starts with bread and salami. They will ask if you want salad (costs extra). There is pasta next. After that they serve you meat and polenta. After that follows a cheese platter and some dessert type thing. They also give you two shot glasses that you can use to drink their house made liquor. We tried their nut brandy (nocino), grape brandy, and limoncello Staff speak a little bit of English, and he tried hard to explain to our questions. Set menu price was 16 CHF per person, extras include the drinks (water, wine, etc), salad, espressos, and liquor shots. Overall we thought it was worth 5 stars for experience and atmosphere, but I’d say the food itself is more like 4 star food. Outdoor...

Amazing experience at the CUTEST place!!! It’s all one menu at one set price (19 CHF per person when we went). You just sit down at the communal tables and then the courses start coming! Such a fun time and what a unique dinner experience. This is a MUST in this area for sure!!! Our dinner included salad, bread, salami, pasta, polenta and beef, cheeses, espresso, and local liquor shots... although I think the salad and liquor shots were actually extra. Several waiters told us that all was included, but when the “check” lady came around to take payment, she asked whether we had salad and liquor shots and I believe charged extra for them. Might have been a language barrier but luckily shots were only 4 CHF each. Also—note they DO NOT take credit cards, only cash!!!
