Grotto Mulin di ciöss

came to this grotto 45 years ago for the first time and have been back many times since. we were excited to return for lunch this week on a cold and rainy day to see what the current owners offer. so glad we did as everything was absolutely perfect! we started with a delicious mixed salad that included some fresh seasonal ramp leaves and, on the owner's recommendation, a tripe dish, which was just like my mom used to make - hearty, tender and full of tomato-y flavor - yummy! we then each had osso buco with porcini risotto - couldn't have been better - i still dream about the bone marrow! heavenly! we both enjoyed a typical boccalino ticinese with a rustic local red, which hit the spot! this super tasty meal, a nice chat with the owner, and a one of a kind setting made for a very memorable experience! the outdoor area with the creek and watermill is a dream setting for a meal on a balmy night! if we still lived in europe, we would be here all the time! bravo - we'll rush back as soon as we can!
