Trattoria Pizzeria Bella Ciao — Restaurant in Circolo dell'Isole

Food was good — fresh and tasty. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Interaction was limited to only what was necessary (taking the order, bringing the bill). Our waiter simply placed drinks and water on the table without pouring, although we noticed he did so for all other tables. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, and while we tried to order in Italian and be friendly, we still felt we got the cold shoulder compared to the warm, attentive service given to others. As a same-sex couple, we would like to feel just as welcome as any other guests.

Atmosphere also left something to be desired — background radio was playing, and loud music from a nearby bar made it hard to enjoy...

Nice place. Nice seats for people watching and cocktails. Good G&T’s! Service was very friendly. Pizzas excellent. Restaurant has aircon, which was a bonus when it was 30+ in the evening. Really nothing to complain about. A solid choice if you are walking the promenade wondering which...

Wieder mal spät im Jahr mit ÖV nach Ascona. Obwohl Sonne satt und stahlblauer Himmel, war der Lungo Lago überschaubar frequentiert. Ab in das Gartenrestaurant, Bella Ciao, Tisch für 4 Personen. Viele Tische recht gut besetzt, dann - waaarten. Ok Freizeit, wir haben keinen Stress. Nach knapp 1/2 Stunde wurde die Karten vorgelegt und unsere Bestellung zügig aufgenommen. Die Vorspeisen Salat/Suppe, geduldig bis ungeduldig - waaarten! Hauptspeisen, Trofie mit Pesto und Vitello Tonato - waaarten! Definitiv verpasst hat der Pizzaiolo den gemeinsamen Service, lange 20 Minuten, zu den genannten Hauptspeisen. Schade, hat ansonsten recht...
