Defenately my upper class number one in Ascona. Together with the Ristorante Grotto Broggini in Losone the best in Ticino. The ambiente consists of old and modern. It's difficult to make photos without people inside. This special nice place reflects the flair of the Lago Maggiore area. You can get more than only the best mediteran food in Ascona in the upper price class. I recommend for red wine lovers to drink a Pocalinho there. Doesent have to be a wine expert to agreeing that the wine is excellent Very good coffee and a fine selection of desserts. In food I don't can explain in words good enough but I try: Welcome in the real world of Italian food My experiences there reflects the good reputation of Italian food. Easier to give you a look in the Ristaurante Osteria Nostrana is to write about the outstanding staff who is attentiv and often make some jokes. MASSIVE LIKES FROM MY FAMILIY AND FRIENDS Simply enjoy the swiss quality in mediteran food. Cheers

Essen mit Seeblick ist ja immer so eine Sache: Hier wartet man kurz am Eingang und dann zaubern die Kellner einem irgendwie einen Platz… toll! Die Karte bietet eine sehr große Auswahl für Vegetarier, die Karte ist übersichtlich und reichhaltig. Zu bestimmten Zeiten (zwischen den Hauptessenszeiten) gibt es nur bestimmte Gerichte, aber auch da bleibt die Auswahl sehr gut. Diese Gerichte sind mit einer kleinen Uhr gekennzeichnet. Bestellung wurde flott aufgenommen, Getränke kamen auch recht schnell, obwohl es voll war. Hier ein kleiner Minuspunkt: der offene Wein kommt direkt aus der Flasche und wird am Tisch eingeschenkt (großes Plus), die Auswahl ist auch toll, aber die Menge ist wirklich wenig für 7 SFR… Die Pizzen kamen schnell, waren sehr gut und gut belegt, aber unsere Tochter musste noch etwa 15 Minuten auf ihre Gnocchi warten. Es wäre uns lieber gewesen, alles wäre zusammen gekommen. Wir begannen nach etwa 5 Minuten zu essen, aber als die Gnocchi kamen, waren sie auch nicht mehr richtig warm. Sie hatten wohl schon eine Weile gestanden und niemand wusste, wohin damit…. Das war leider alles nicht gut. Dennoch hatten wir eine tolle Zeit in der Sonne, der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen lecker. Die Preise sind mit 25 SFR für eine Pizza natürlich sportlich, aber die Gegenleistung stimmte. Eine klare Empfehlung hier am Seeufer!

Besuch; 23.08.22 18 Uhr Vorspeise: Grüner Salat Hauptgericht; Piccata di vitello alla Milanese con Spaghetti al Pomodoro bestellt und leider ein bisschen fad und wässrig. Nichts besonderes... mach ich selber leider einiges besser. Und ich bin alles andere als ein gelernter Koch 😶 Bedienung: Eher hektisch, obwohl gar noch nicht viel los war. Drin ca. 3 Tische besetzt und draussen ca. 9 Tische. Sehr viele Kellner am arbeiten jedoch, wenn man es genauer betrachtet waren die Hälfte von denen nur chaotisch am hin und her laufen. Leider muss man auf sich mehrmals bemerkbar machen, wenn man zum Beispiel zahlen möchte. Kann sein das es eine Ausnahme war, jedoch hatten heute viele Kellner den Gesichtsausdruck "kein bock" drauf... gewisse davon jedoch "nur" vor dem Gast und untereinander war es wiederum i.O. schade 😶 Sidenote: 2 Kellner waren aber freundlich. Der einte hat bei mir einkassiert und ich habe ihm auch Trinkgeld gegeben, da er sympatisch war und seinen job gut ausübte 👌🏻 WC: Sauber und hatte keinen unangenehmen Geruch oder sonstiges 👍🏻 Schade... hatte das Restaurant vor vielen Jahren mal besucht und das war zu der Zeit definitiv sympatischer und besser. Könnte auch eine Ausnahme an diesem Tag sein, ändert jedoch nichts an meinem Erlebnis. Daher nur 3⭐

The Ristorante Is located in the harbour easily accessible for anyone. The old city is very active with a lot of tourists. The personal was kind although remote at this busy time. The food was ok . In Switzerland the food tend to be neither exciting nor disappointing. My wife's food was much nicer than my choice and both were ok. I can recommend this restaurant for a quick fill along a busy street.

On the piazza, a beautiful location with waterfront views. This restaurant is an old standing tradition that we have visited for many years. But it has changed. The servers seem to be very impatient with guests. The food has become standardized to meet, not exceed, other restaurants in the area. With that said, they do still have great pizzas, spaghetti bolognese, and other pastas.

Happened across this place when trying to find a place that did NOT serve shellfish. What a pleasant surprise as we descended on a birthday party and the chef-owner Lily and her musician husband Giorgio who invited us in for the menu item of that day as there was a birthday party. Food was great but the hospitality was even better! Great experience
