Ristorante Unione — Restaurant in Circolo della Maggia

Ristorante Unione is a restaurant and hotel with several rooms. We stayed at the hotel in early August. The room was neat and clean with a beautiful view of the mountains. The bathrooms were separate. The outside restaurant was especially nice, a few tables surrounded in a beautiful garden, lots of plants and flowers and atmospheric lighting. Food was really good. The owners took great care of us and other guests and told interesting facts about the area. Real service with passion straight from the heart. About 4 km further there is a beautiful waterfall Cascata del Salto, which is worth seeing. Having a car, it is worth going to Lavertezzo to see the Ponte dei Salti bridge over the Verzasca river as well. Also worth seeing is Locarno, which can be reached by direct bus. Visited this hotel early Oct 2012. Made booking via Internet end of Jan 2012. Very friendly, speaks English and Italian. 5 rooms in total. Toilet and showers to share. Shampoo, soap, towels and much more were supplied by the hotel. Have a peaceful garden/beergarden where you can sit to eat, drink wine/beer, have good food and visit with friends/family/locals. Has a small bar on the inside and also a large dining room with everything you need/want.||Prices were good, not to expensive and also not to cheap. Directly opposite to the local town council offices. Within walking distance of the church, graveyard, shops, swimming area and much more.
