Grotto sassello "da cioca" 2023 — Restaurant in Circolo della Verzasca

Honestly.. it was the best food exerience we had in the whole week in Ticino. The staff is very nice, friendly and polite. We asked the waitress for recommendations, and they were absolutely spot on. I had the fish with potatoes and my partner the meat with polenta. They were both amazing.

BUT... the starter... that... that will make me go back!! I had the goeat cheese (busciton I think it was called) with pesto, nuts and honey. I would love to have it again, and again. an absolut delight.

They also had my favourite dessert, and it was also spot on. Perfectly cooked lava cake.

It is a bit on the expensive side, but you get wait you pay for... it was just...

Einziger positiver Punkt vorweg: Das Essen, das man bekommt, ist an sich wirklich lecker. Leider bekommt man nur sehr wenig davon. Und dann nicht mal auf vorgewärmten Tellern. Für knapp 32.- bekommt man keine 100g Schmorbraten, einen Würfel Polenta mit einer Kantenlänge von ca 4cm und einen Klecks Sauce. Das wars. Nicht einmal eine Gemüsebeilage bekommt man und die Sättigungsbeilage war nicht sättigend genug. Sehr schade. Ausserdem scheinen Kinder nicht wirklich erwünscht zu sein. Es gibt offenbar keine Kindersitze und keine Kindermenus. Die Servicefachkraft hat bei der Aufnahme der Bestellung auch nicht nach einer Bestellung für unser Kind gefragt oder einen Teller gebracht damit wie unsere Portionen mit der Kleinen teilen könnten. Wobei diese ja wie erwähnt sowieso keine Grösse hatten um geteilt werden zu können. Nach Wein wurden wit auch nicht gefragt und haben dann sogar auf Nachtisch verzichtet. Einfach aus Angst davor auch dafür zu viel bezahlen zu müssen. Alles in Allem haben wir uns für die verlangten Preise grössere Portionen und für ein Grotto in der italienischsprachigen Schweiz ein bisschen mehr Amore für Bambini vorgestellt Wir kommen jedenfalls...

Ate Dinner here tonight. For 34.- you get a 400 g CordonBleu, which was absolutely delicious and worth the price. Service is very friendly and sincere. They even gave us a limoncello on the house, which isn't very usual in switzerland, since a 4 cl schnaps costs about 6-8 CHF.
