Osteria Degli Amici Figino — Restaurant in Circolo di Lugano ovest

Nice restaurant located in a quiet area of Lugano. They use local ingredients which is always appreciated, and the food is very delicious, and the menu is quite similar to the other restaurants in the area. Additionally, there is the beauty of nature that is prevalent in Switzerland which surrounds the restaurant. The restaurant may seem a bit understaffed as there are only two waiters which are clearly not enough. Halfway through our dinner a large group of people (12+) were seated in front of us. This clearly posed an issue to the restaurant as the service dramatically declined after they had arrived. I had ordered a desert which was the chocolate hotcake. First, the waiter forgot to even bring it when he brought the rest of the deserts, of which I had to remind him. He apologized and said that he would bring it within two minutes. We patiently waited for half an hour before we asked him where this hotcake was and he said he would bring it right away. Ten minutes later he brought the hotcake which was stone cold and had evidently been forgotten about. I told him about this and he offered to remake it and I told him to just remove it and bring the bill so we could leave. No compensation was offered for our ~45 minutes of wasted time just sitting. Overall, I would recommend a visit to the restaurant, but I hope they improve...

Very cute place close to the lake. We love to sit in the garden / pebbles area. Also very dog friendly and the surroundings are perfect for a walk / swim before and after lunch / dinner. We come here regularly whenever we are Ticino, for both lunch and dinner. The caprese is one of my absolute favorites! Last time we also took the Branzino in the salt crust. However, when it came to fillet the fish this needs to be improved - there was still a lot of salt from the crust on the fish and the fillets itself were messy and broken. Anyways, the overall...

Wir, fünf Personen, hatten wohl einen schlechten Zeitpunkt gewählt für den Besuch in der Osteria Degli Amici. Die Musik auf der Terrasse so laut, dass eine Konversation kaum möglich war. Dem Wunsch einer Anpassung der Lautstärke entsprach der Kellner sofort und kundenorientiert. Vorspeise wurde rasch serviert. Anders der Hauptgang: Nach 1 ¼ Std. wurde, nach mehrmaligem Vertrösten, serviert, die Getränke völlig vergessen. Als «Wiedergutmachung» servierte der Kellner die Getränke nach auf seine Kosten. Fazit: Bei einzelnen Gästen klappte der zeitliche Service, bei anderen wie auch bei uns wurde mit enormer Verspätung serviert. Kellner blieb höflich und professionell und entschuldigte sich mehrmals bei uns für das Versäumnis – vier Sterne.
