We recently received an invitation to explore a charming restaurant in the heart of the city, even though the weather was quite rainy. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the restaurant boasted a beautiful terrace along the shores, offering an astonishing view of Lake Geneva and the majestic Jet d'eau. Our culinary adventure led us to savor delightful dishes, including the delectable filets de perches accompanied by crispy fries and a refreshing salad. The weather was perfect for indulging in their truffle fondue, and it was a heavenly experience. The meringue with fruits served as a delightful conclusion to our meal.

In all honesty, I must say that this restaurant undoubtedly offers the finest filets de perches in all of Geneva. The homemade sauce, expertly combined with perfectly cooked perches, was an absolute delight. The fries, which can sometimes disappoint, were impeccable—crispy, salty, and utterly delicious.

One remarkable aspect of this place is that they served fondue for just one person, which is quite rare among most restaurants. As a truffle enthusiast, I couldn't resist the temptation, and the fondue with truffles was truly irresistible.

Adding to the already delightful experience, the owner, Marc, proved to be extremely welcoming and attentive, ensuring that all the clients enjoyed their time on the terrace despite the rain.

Overall, this restaurant is an outstanding choice, and I eagerly look forward to returning soon for another memorable...

La Tour Carrée, the restaurant at the Yacht Club de Genève, is just a 5 minute drive from the center of Geneva. It has stunning views of the lake. The surroundings of La Tour Carrée are picturesque, with a lakeside promenade and well-maintained greenery around the club. Nearby, you’ll often see people swimming, parasailing, and enjoying the lake at the adjacent plage, adding to the lively atmosphere.

The restaurant is easily accessible with a few parking spots available for guests, we were lucky one was empty. Otherwise you’d have to park in believe across the road. Parking is free, and we went with no reservation and there were plenty of available tables.

During our visit, the service was excellent, friendly, and very attentive. Our waiter was particularly thoughtful, bringing tap water for our groggy little boy, which we appreciated.

As for the food, our experience was mixed. The fillet du perche was somewhat lacking the expected flavor and finesse. However, the linguini with large shrimp was exceptional, bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors that truly impressed us.

Overall, La Tour Carrée is a beautiful spot with lovely views, excellent service, and some standout dishes, making it a noteworthy dining option at the Yacht...

Good morning,

I could not put 0 stars what a shame!

I went with my friend to enjoy the view & I never have been treated like I have been there (& I have lived 8 years in Paris)!

We had beers in the terrace at some stage it start to rain & we were ask to move from the very comfy spot out under the umbrella (because they had to close it)so we went to the part next to entrance under the awning to finish our beers (at that stage the waitress decide to close the awning without telling us but she had the kindness to keep the other one out for other costumers). At that stage no other choice but to get inside where a lovely smell of fondue was waiting for us….(ok not there fault still not pleasant). & after that we where told that all the tables were reserved. SERIOUSLY ?!? Luckily I am just writing a review on Google & don’t find out who is the president of the yacht club to tell him how the restaurant is run.

I do hope one of the manager have the guts to contact me.

Kind...

La Tour Carree is a delightful restaurant in the yacht club premises. There’s indoor dining, but the real attraction here is the picture perfect outdoor seating directly on the lake. The staff are friendly, welcoming and relaxed. The food is delicious. We shared several appetizers on a recent Sunday afternoon and they were all tasty. If your at Plage Eaux Vives, it’s just a 30 mins walk to Cologny, or take the G or E bus which stop directly outside the Yacht Club/Restaurant. Most definitely worth a visit.
